You mean Brent Peterson from Calgary who played in the USHL and John Scott who was recruited out of the NAHL?

I thought MTU was looking at some Green Bay coaches

Eric Rud (coach Green Bay Gamblers)
Tim Goghlin (Saint Norberts coach) National Champs this season

Then I will. Supposedly, Blais is on the list and considering it.

I personally think it's complete BS, but that's what I heard on Beyond the Pond when I as getting to the Augsburg rink for the Posters' game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rud is among the candidates. I would be very surprised if Coghlin is on the short list, given his lack of any D-I experience, although his assistant at St Norbert, Mark Mazzoleni coached Miami and Harvard and was also a USHL head coach and spent time as an assistant at Minnesota. He was also once a candidate for the Tech job while still at UWSP. I've talked to several people who are in the college hockey world and it's amazing how little anyone has heard.

If anyone wants to hear the Tech talk from Saturday, it's on kfan.com Fan on Demand, Hr 1 of the Beyond the Pond show, about 31 mins in.

From a "terrific source" Tech is willing to open the vault for Blais and Blais would seriously think about it. I don't believe and wonder who the source is, I don't even think we have a vault. They talk a little bit more about it and rip on the arena a bit.

Someone wake me up when the search is over, they've picked some unknown assistant who will come to Houghton for $120k, and everyone has come crashing back to reality.

Now can anyone think that maybe Blais may be "considering" a Tech offer...until UNO ups the ante.

The Mac is a real nice arena, the sight lines are good, you are close to the action and the other facilities are real nice too, it's just it is not 7000 plus in seating. I do remember though, when it was built that provisions were made to be able to knock out the east wall to get more seats if needed.
It seems de rigueur for Minnesota sports people to knock Tech. I guess they are tired of knocking St Cloud.
These guys don't have a decent source, most likely the assistant lode sports editor or something. ;).

We'll see what happens, but the fact that info is in short supply is a real good thing imho. I think assuming things in this environment is totally foolish even if you knew who might be interviewed.
It's going to take her a while longer so maybe we should just relax.

This actually wouldn't surprise me at all. Though, if I were Blais, I'd use the Penn St. rumor, people may actually believe it.
