Um, finding out how much Russell was paid is easy, finding out how much MTU is willing to pay his replacement is not...

Hopefully the alumni will throw some ching in and get somebody better then MSU got to coach.

I wonder why mtu did not consider the commish of the ccha? He must have been the best to coach even though he hasnt for twenty years.

I don't know the details, or really anything about the situation at all, but my guess would be: Bad Things and Leavenworth

Eric was already on thin ice after a rules violation last season. He was cut from the team in November following another violation which was rumored to involve the theft and sale of some team equipment. He is now playing in the ECHL.

Sounds like he's doing well for Cincinnatti and keeping his nose clean. I believe the coach has been pleasantly surprised.

If all you do is commit theft and larceny on Cincinnati, you are keeping your nose clean. :)

Thanks for the link. Under Qualification Requirements - Desirable, it lists Master's degree and Head coaching experience. Who on our list of candidates has both of those?
Cary Eades has his Masters and has been a head coach in the USHL and for a state championship team in Minnesota High School.

"When [Red] interviewed [Pearson], [Red] asked him a couple of tough questions about breaking rules to recruit a kid he said he couldn't do that and it convinced [Red] that he was everything he appeared to be.

Well, duh, that's the right answer to give at a job interview. Did Red expect him to say he was planning at least 6 major rules violations in his first season as an assistant and he was going get top players at any cost even if it meant the future of the program would be on thin ice...

Though the article was written that way the question was more specific. It had to deal with some of UM past hockey issues and how Mel would have handled them.
