Re: Michigan Tech, best season in 30 years, part two!
And with that the title becomes true, best season since Macinnes retired.

Well, that's 23 victories for the first time since '82, when MacInnes was behind the bench. 33 years folks, it's been way to *ing long.
Phillips was drafted by Winnipeg so it's all on the Jets. Petan's cousin is coming in next year so hopefully that's enough to keep him in Houghton for his senior year. I'd be more worried about some team wanting to take a chance on one of the upperclassmen on defense.Extremely happy with this team now. I know I was down on them for a bit when we were having mid season issues and losing some games we should have won, but we really do seem to be erasing some of our woes and if we can win tonight it will definitely show that. I was really worried about the WC series against Bemidji after playing UAH based on what happened last season playing UAF after UAH and getting crushed. Old Tech teams also had issues of losing to teams they had no right to lose to, like the 06-07 team, they lost games to teams they had no right to lose to and it kept us out of home playoffs and NCAA. This team has turned it around again after the mid season and seems to not be losing those games any more. Seriously loving this team and this season.
Now, I was wondering if anyone sees any early departures after this season? I am worried about losing Petan and Philips, both have been amazing and I could see teams looking at them after the season, I just hope they see themselves as having more work to do at Tech and come back for their senior seasons.

I wonder what will become of L'Esperance more than anyone, if only because he looks so much like JJ Khaira in his style of play. I hope he stays here 4 years to work on the basics.
I rather enjoy having to worry about losing talented players.![]()
Also, Mel Pearson's career record is above .500 (66–65–16).
It also tied Mel with Herb Boxer for 3rd in wins in Tech history.
4-0 and not even halfway through the 1st period. Good job Huskies, you are helping my Lakers out.
