Buying a home in Denver: Home gets listed on Thursday, but the owners don't allow showings until Saturday. When you arrive at 11:30 am Saturday morning you are informed they have already received three offers... home off the market by Sunday afternoon...

Only slightly different than the sale of our home in WI... List home on Thursday, wait 11 months, accept first reasonable offer that comes along.

It's hockey day in AK!

I have to say I look forward to one AK weekend a year, the 10PM start, family's asleep so I can watch a little late night hockey in peace.

We only get the online version of Alaska Dispatch, but I could not find an article about tonights game. I also have not seen a single promo (other than social media) for this weekends ticket promotions. What is going on?

It's all part of the UAA strategy to create a disquieting dead silence in the building; this is from the Mining Gazette today:
Sullivan Arena, the home of the Seawolves, has proven over the years to be a difficult place for the Huskies. Whether it the size of the ice surface or it is the lack of energy from the crowd, the Huskies have struggled in that building.

"It's a tough place to play up there," said Pearson. "There is not a lot of atmosphere in there. With the Olympic sheet, you have to skate. It's going to be a challenge for us. Having said that, we have had a lot of challenges this year. To our players' credits, we have risen to those challenges."

It's was pretty easy to be the loudest in the building up there last year until a random dude came and sat next to us and just yelled SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLVES any time we said a thing.
