Re: Michigan Tech 2014-2015

Yes, it should include nameplates and numbers.
You would certainly want to confirm if name / numbers are included. It could swing the jersey price $30, $40, $50, or more depending on the jersey style. The GLI jerseys would be pretty low cost to number/letter, but those black jerseys... you might need a second mortgage for three-color sewn twill numbers / names.

Those jerseys are styled after the Bruins home/black font. You can buy the Bruins kits for any name / number for around $59, but you still need the labor to sew them on the jersey. I would guess even the local embroidery shop in Hancock is going to charge the team $40+ per jersey for materials and labor.

It is just an estimate but it does include nameplates and numbers.

Re: Michigan Tech 2014-2015

Considering University Images is selling replica quality jerseys for $110 to $160 (blank), that is a smoking deal in my opinion.

Re: Michigan Tech 2014-2015

So I did some research and found that we need to order 25 per color to get authentic MTU jerseys through the team. The exact cost depends on the jersey but I've been told to expect it to cost $160 per jersey. Let me know via email if any of you are interested in ordering an authentic Michigan Tech jersey.

I think we're focusing on the Fourth GLI White jersey or the Third Gold jersey.

If only this was offered a year ago...we would have bought a couple. We bought a couple from University Images since then and are good on jerseys.

Yes, it should include nameplates and numbers.
Per the NCAA the numbers are OK however the player has to have exhausted his eligibility or graduated to include the nameplate on an official sweater, if not then including a nameplate is an NCAA violation.
I'm not sure what the deal is if the player has turned professional before exhausting eligibility or graduated.
This came about when football players were selling jerseys for the big bucks.
Probably shouldn't have posted this as not sure what jerseys are being sold.

I never said current players names and numbers. And if no one is profiting, I'm not sure it matters. I have multiple authentic jerseys with "Shirtless Guy" on the back, is that a violation? :p

Shirtless, as I said I'm not sure what jerseys are being sold and sure didn't mean my post as an attack on you or anyone else. Was just trying to shed some light. Not trying to muddy the water. The NCAA doesn't care if anyone is profiting or not. And you are well within your right with your "Shirtless Guy" nameplate as long as some guy named that has graduated or exhausted his college eligibility.
Truce! White flag! I surrender! It's your thread.
Edit: maybe Johnson Jersey will weigh in???

The NCAA doesn't care if anyone is profiting or not? That might be the one thing the NCAA cares about more than anything!

I hope I'm not the only one who sees the irony in putting "Shirtless Guy" on a jersey. How many times has it been worn and NOT generated unsolicited comments?

New Yorkers! they always get everything a day ahead of time! the Tech piece was in today's (the 18ths) paper. at any rate, I got my copy. and managed to impress the New York relatives a bit.

Re: Michigan Tech 2014-2015

Crunched some numbers.

90% of teams that are ranked in the top 5 of the USCHO, since its inception, from the midpoint of the season to the start of the NCAA tournament, make the NCAA tournament. Tech is currently top 5. So that bodes well. Just need to keep winning.

The teams that have been in the top 5 in the 2nd half, and missed the tourney are:

Miami - 97-98
New Hampshire - 00-01
Western Michigan - 00-01
UMass-Lowell - 01-02
St. Cloud State - 03-04
Vermont - 05-06
Denver - 06-07
Massachusetts - 07-08
Minnesota - 08-09
Colorado College - 09-10
Minnesota-Duluth - 09-10
Ohio State - 11-12
Notre Dame - 11-12
Merrimack - 11-12

I really really really hope that if we do make it... we end up going to South Bend. Perfect for travel and should be a well attended game by Tech fans.
