Don't panic, Gordic is recovering from shoulder surgery. He's been practicing on the ice, but won't be ready this weekend.

Yes, Pearson said at the beginning of the year that Gordic is week-to-week while he recovers.

Must have missed that. That's what being a Tech fan the past 3 seasons has done to me. I must have sports fan PTSD or something.

Someone posted that they were considering taping the Mel Pearson show, adding some players and streaming it. I think this is a great idea and I think they ought to do it like yesterday. Maybe they could send the tape out to the tv and cable operators as well.
Thinking of the filling in of the horseshoe, I think there should be some additional seating of some sort as I believe that we will end up needing it in the next few years.

I've seen the option of adding collapsible seat for ice level under the suites. They would be able to be folded up against the wall much like bleachers, but have chairbacks as well.

The additional seats would be nice for games against Northern or when the Red Wings play a preseason game here. Man, they really need to do that again.

The extra seats would be nice, but based on the cost I would rather see that money used in other ways, at least in the next five years. I would also rather see a packed house, rather than a bigger rink 75% used. If we are so fortunate as to start selling out games, nothing creates demand like not being able to get something you want. Demand is also a good way to drive season ticket sales.

According to Coach Pearson, we are trying to sustain some sort of rotating/semi-regular series with tUMD and Wisconsin, as well as renew pre-CCHA era series with the real U of M and MSU.

How far out are schedules set up? 2 years? 3? I would think there is a bit of a scramble going on with all the changes.

Tech is not aware that tUMD plans to field a team after 2013. They asked to leave the league so Tech assumed they were going defunct. Tech does not care in any case. Tech will be fine without them. Tech would rather play UAH.
