A previous Michigan Tech fan was asking the same question earlier in the the Michigan Tech vs. St. Lawrence thread. Here are the links for B2 video viewing. The video is $8 per game. The video will be available ten minutes prior to the start of each game......

I'm going to take a guess that the NCAA thinks they are protecting the broadcast rights by doing this. So what's next? No calling friends during the game? No emails to more than 1 person at a time? No texting? No Facebook posts? No talking to other fans before the final horn? I know I was certainly avoiding radio and TV broadcasts so that I could read someone tweeting the game to me...
I think the twits at the NCAA have WAAAY bigger things to worry about than Tweets.

Why is everyone so up in arms about this? It's classic NCAA. Making a bunch of rules they really cannot enforce :)

It's the principle of the matter. :D

The Tri-City Storm have traded with Green Bay for future Gopher Adam Wilcox. Looks like the plan is to have him and Copley split time for now. Should be good for Pheonix to get some competition from a more experienced goalie.

So I've stewed on this for a while and here goes. The team is in Chicago right? they are leaving to go to St Lawrence, right? on the day before thanksgiving!!! on the busiest travel day of the year.They have lost their mind. Have to ever been to O'hare on the day before thanksgiving? it's a mad house of epic proportions. I guarantee that at least one team equipment bag will be lost. So now they get to buffalo, and how are they going to get the bag, wait for the next flight... 4 hours from now? Get united to deliver it to appleton ny.? Sure, maybe in a week.

why not travel on thanksgiving day, it's way lighter, way, way cheaper, and way better chance of not losing your stupid equipment. Traveling on the day before is not smart, especially if you do not have to be there that day.
only grandma's with too much money do it.Geeeesh!

End rant!

Yeah, like making sure the Big Money schools star football players like actually go to their underwater basket weaving classes (OSU and the SEC), boosters that buy cars and hookers for those kids (Miami), schools who cover up the fact that they've hired child molesters in the past. (PSU) Worrying about a few reporters tweeting at the game ain't the biggest thing be worrying about.

They have to make a rule in case some bizarre, rare event happens where they actually happen to lose money/whatever and whoever twatterers whatever info makes a killing or affects someone or something in a negative light.

It's like the stupid warnings on products, like "This coffee is hot."

The NCAA should no control over what reporters say, nor how and when they say it, unless they control the broadcast rights.

Back in May, General Manager Warren Rychel surprised the hockey world by signing Ben Johnson to a free-agent deal with the Spitfires.

Just a few months later, and very early in his OHL career, it's easy to see what a coup it was to bring the 17-year-old Calumet, Michigan native to Windsor.

Last week, Benny produced points while playing his usual solid two-way game. For his all-around efforts, he's our Tecumseh and South Walkerville Vision Centres Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week.

Aftering scoring his first two OHL goals in an 8-0 win over the Soo Greyhounds back on November 13th, Johnson continued his torrid play with a goal and three assists in three games this weekend.

Johnson had a goal and a +1 rating on Thursday night, in a 5-4 OT loss to Plymouth, an assist and a +1 rating in a 3-1 loss in Peterborough, and another two helpers and a +1 rating in a 5-2 win in Oshawa on Sunday.

His recent tear has moved Benny into the top-20 in rookie scoring, with 3 goals and 8 assists for 11 points while appearing in all 27 games this season.
