And by "Duluth Quality" you mean "heated hallways", which has thus far evaded Houghton's establishments.

I'm sorry to hear that you are such a pampered pansy that the scummy accommodations of Hoton aren't up to your high standards. I expected better from a North Dakotan. :p :D

Since when is wanting the hallways to be warmer than it is outside a high standard? Plus I was completely sick when I was there last year so I get a free pass on complaining.

ok, I know I saw the snow covered homecoming King and Queen on USCHO somewhere...where did it go?

It isn't our fault that you chose the ****tiest hotel in Houghton to stay at. The Best Western is actually kinda a nice place, for Houghton standards.
Yeah, but you'd miss the chance to sleep with 3 or 4 other drunken misfits
Any drunken misfit that I would actually want to sleep with is welcome to come with me to my higher quality hotel room.:p

First of all, everything I have read the BW Downtown seems to say that management isn't great there and the rooms are run down. However, almost every review I read said that they were clean. For $71 a room that is clean and close to the rink (it's like a .5 mile walk but across the expressway walkway) you can't go wrong.

How is the AIDS thing going any way?

If any of you guys want tickets to the Duluth games for $15, rather than $18, I can put you on a list and you will get them if we have extra to sell off.

There is two things bugging me!!. When, oh when is MTU going to joint he rest of the world and get a descent scoreboard! and SECOND, when, oh when are the 2007 blogs going to disappear from the misfits site! I mean geez. 2007?

Ok now I will get off my soapbox and rejoin society.

Re: Michigan Tech 09-10 Season Thread: Let's go to Detroit. Twice.

The suites look very nice.

Enjoyed the win Friday, but the penalties and missed one timers showed a lot of room for improvement.

Sundays game they laid one big fat gigantic turd on the ice.....Same old same old Tech.

And when I get home home and get to a computer I find Kattelus is susupened. No doubt for something really stupid.

And as for stupid fans, the old guys behind me in section D take the cake...talking about #22.

"22 is that really good kid from Hancock"

"nope the program says it's someone called Baker"

"I thought it was that Hancock kid"

"is this Baker kid new this year? did he play for tech last year?"

"I wonder what happened to that really good kid from Hancock who played for them last year"

"What was that kids name anyway?"

Oh well, better luck against CC. They certainly have a lot of room for improvement

GO Huskies!!!!

It sounds like within the next two off seasons it will get done.

And there, fixed for now until we are able to update some of those pages.

Scoreboard: Ask Flashy, he talks with Suzanne & JR and usually knows the current timeline for arena improvements. Last I heard, a top-of-the-line video board on the east wall was slated for installation within the next couple of years.

As for the blahgs, yell at Yager. :D

Beat you to it. And technically it is Brandon, he is the Webmaster.

And the scoreboard really depends on the open wall plans. If they blow the wall out and complete the oval seating (which sounds like it will happen). then the scoreboard has to wait until that is done. Otherwise, they could do a center scoreboard again and don't have to wait. From what I hear, this is a possibility because if the board goes on one end, the other end has to have at least a smaller board with the time and penalty times, per NCAA rules.

Re: Michigan Tech 09-10 Season Thread: Let's go to Detroit. Twice.

The team definately didn't play with the intensity they did on Friday, but I thought the changing of the lines probably played a role in the poor offense. There still trying different line combinations and players haven't played their way into or out of the lineup yet. It sounded like the Russell wasn't too happy with Rohn, but was happy with Schooley. The only other new player on Sunday was Eli V I think.

Plus Gwilliam was giving it a go after his leg injury friday and it didn't sound like it worked out, I'm not sure if he just took less shifts or didn't play at all later in the game.

I'd definitely be ok with them blowing out the far wall, though we're bordering on having too much seating as it is. Hopefully that means Tech lowers its ticket price to put butts in seats, specifically college-age butts.

Woah, woah, woah...! I thought this had been evaluated and rejected due to cost and practicality?

I mean, I would love to see it done, but only if the school really thinks they can put people in those seats.

I wouldn't bet on that. I don't think the prices are the biggest problem (perhaps for attracting community attendance, but not students), I think Tech needs to start winning some more games first. That's the only thing that is going to convince Tech students to reserve more of their discretionary income and time for tickets/games instead of booze/house parties.
