And some laughed when I took him in the Goons'n'Goalies league. :D

Also, I like how Scott caught Parros' fist in the fight. Classic! (00:16 and 1:02 in the video)

I also like how he pops him in the chin when he goes to grab his jersey with his left at the beginning. Talk about efficient. :D

Some pics from last night's Meet the Coaches event:

Head coach Jamie Russell addresses a crowd of about 40. Coaching staff spoke about our graduated seniors, incoming freshmen, ongoing recruiting efforts, and changes in rules and facilities coming into the new season.

Asst coach Patrick Mikesch tours a group through the Huskies locker room. Don't step on the logo in the center of the room - it's considered bad luck.

As you leave the locker room, the team has the schedule posted. It's broken into segments, and the team sets goals for wins in each segment.

Drive Friday, arrive with enough time to make it to the DT and Ambassador before the game. Staying for the game against LSSU as well.

How are the fall colors coming along up there? I heard somewhat over 50%. I also see that the weather is supposed to be lousy. Highs in the 40's and possible snow. So CCing for the colors might be pointless.

Have you seen the new 3rds? They look pretty awesome, but the lead time is long, I'm not supposed to get mine for another 2 weeks. And yeah, the announcers were talking about that a little bit last night, it sure sounds like he has a solid spot on the team, he's played in both games this season as a forward.

BTW, Aaron Piettila is easily my favorite freshman now! He's wearing a Wild t-shirt!!!!

So how did your Gopher Blue Line Club "Meet the Coaches" event go? Oh, right, tDon "doesn't do" public events unless they pay him more.

I'll be attending four Gopher games this year. (Six if I'm really lucky.) Oddly enough, all will be in the state of Michigan.

I'll be up there sometime Friday afternoon, getting some food at the Ambassador, then hanging out around town after the game as well... I got a someone coming up from Chicago with me and I'm meeting some other NMUers pre-game as well... There should be a decent contingent...

Yeah I've seen the new thirds, I went to the NHL store when I saw you talking about a Scott jersey. They are pretty awesome, I actually wouldn't mind wearing one.

I don't know about the stupid Wolverines, but I'm guessing huskyfan and the missus would be hard-pressed to abandon their knitting just because it fell on the logo.

(note to self: do not allow huskyfan or the missus to take their knitting into the Huskies locker room).

I would not only step on that stupid "M" but if I could do it without getting arrested, I would take huge steaming **** on it as well.
