Thurs - st. kates over st. bens

Fri - CSS, Hamline, Superior, St. Kate's, St. Thomas, Bethel, UWEC and Olaf all win.

Sat - Superior and CM tie. GAC, Hamline, Point, Norberts, LK and UWEC all win.

Sun - CM and Olaf win. Norberts and St. Bens tie 2-2.

One more question, why is St. Norberts ranked by some people and why are they suppose to be so good there first year ?

People are basing it on their roster and the fact that they have brought in some assumed-to-be high caliber foreign players.

Thanks... Norberts hmm maybe wait until they play some good teams then build them up. Did they not already lose to St. Marys ?

Yes. and agreed. St. Kate's should be their first good test and the NCHA will push them all season.

I agree that the NCHA will push them this year. I guess we will see if St. Kates can handle them. I think St. Kates has pretty much the same team as last year so it will be a tough test for the Norbies or what ever there name is.

St. Kate's lost one senior to graduation, return an All-American and Laura Hurd finialist, a very good goalie, 2 All-MIAC Defensemen and 2 more All-MIAC forwards. Seems like everyone on this board thinks last year was a one time deal for the Katie's or whatever their name is...

I think St. Kates will be rated in the top 10 all year but we all know from the West that the East coast teams always get rated ahead of West teams. We played the Wildcats team twice last year, and they are for real. They have 3 really good forwards and a very strong D and a great Goalie..

The NCHA crowd is intelligent enough to come up with mascot names without just changing the last letters of the school's name to ies. SNC is the green knights.

Augsburg at St. Thomas - St Thomas
St. Catherine at Hamline - Kates

Bethel vs. St Bens - Bethel 3 points - St. Ben's is a hardworking team that should test the Bethel group.
St. Kates sweeps Hamline - Hopefully St. Kate's figures out what went wrong last week. If so, they should easily be able to handle Hamline.
GAC vs. Olaf - GAC 3 points - Olaf has historically played GAC very close but I am not quite ready to give them a win.
SMU vs Concordia - split - I would give SMU 3 points if it wasn't at Concordia.
St. Thomas sweeps Augsburg - Probably one of the more obvious series of the weekend. Of course this is all based on historical results. I do believe St. Thomas is down this year and Augsburg is improved but the gap isn't quite closed.

GoGo has the Auggies winning on Friday. I don't see it, but i didn't see last year...

my understanding is shaky goaltending on St Thomas's side, and phenomenal goaltending by Augsburg led to the upset last year. I don't foresee a repeat but then again the wonderful thing about the MIAC is that pretty much any team can win on any night with a few bounces here and there.
