Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

your slander of people is dangerous

You can't even get your threats right.

Slander is spoken you idiot. In print it's libel. Anyone who watched Spider-Man 2 knows that. :D

So tell me what I have said that is inaccurate? Chris Serino, Joe Iarabino, and Richard Santagati are all known liars. Santagati lied in his biography in the Merrimack media guide. Ask anyone who worked with him and/or has knowledge of his previous work history. It's called embelishment. It's also called there were claims made against him at each of his previous employers. He did not leave any of his employers honorably. Joe Iarabino was highly disliked by all in the athletic department, including former and present student-athletes, coaches and staff. He had no qualifications to be the Interim AD or anything else, at best he is the American Legion coach for Andover. He was a pompous liar, which is why so many at MC disliked him. Chris Serino was a great guy, but he was a salesman. He was great at convincing the likes of Aquino, Rosa, Foy, etc to come to MC. He also was a terrible coach with very little knowledge of the x's and o's at this high level of hockey. Afterall, he did recruit gems like Luke Smith, Tim Reidy, Steve Crusco, Eric Quinlan, etc. who could barely even skate. He is a great high school coach, as evidenced by his previous success at NMH and Saugus and current success at Malden Catholic. I've followed college hockey for a long time and played a sport in college and I have never, ever, heard of a coach being asked to resign by his players. Have you? I'm not saying it has never happened before, but for young men to hate a coach so badly they were willing to alienate the man that recruited them, gave some of them scholarships says a lot.

So it's acceptable for you to libel the current administration, but it is not alright for me to criticize your buddies Iarabino and Serino? I see.

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

excellent, excellent post IMO and i enjoyed reading it............i would say that it's a safe bet a large majority of HE fans want to see MC succeed...........and you're spot on, enjoy and seize the moment, you waited a long time.

Thanks Sterlippo...I've been around these boards for a long time now...and I've met some amazing people over the years...even people I've battled with on these boards, I've met them in person and everything was put aside...there have only been 1 or 2 people over my 10 years on this board that I have had no want or intentions of meeting...and it sucks that one person can take what was a thread dedicated to a team that has a history of failing who all of a sudden is making a move to be in the National Tournament, and just completely hijack the thread and take it in such a wrong direction. It's sad really...his comment in his profile summed it up perfectly "thanks... Time to get back out there and **** people off"...that is all he is here to do...just causing problems. How the board continues to allow him to post here is beyond me, but whatever, it is what it is...I'm done dealing with the BS...I want to talk about the only thing that matters right now, and that is the team I've followed and loved for so many years, finally having a MAJOR impact on the conference...so, on that note...GO MACK!!! Big series this weekend coming up...let's hope for 3 points at a minimum, although it's always a tough game up at the Whitt!!!

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

This weeks USCHO bracketology report has Merrimack playing RPI in the regionals at Manchester NH. I know, there is a lot more hockey to be played out but how cool would that be? I think the Mack in Manchester would be great!

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

You already reported me for a post, I told you, I'm done with you...I didn't tell you to F Off...i told you to go the f away...There is a difference...one is allowed, the other isn't...so this is my last response to you.

You didn't say "It looks like they only spent $300K"...what you said, you were stating as a fact, one of which was completely wrong...just deal with it.

You like and support MC??? Now that is funny. If you did, you'd stop bringing up the past and what a great guy Serino was. Great guy, yes...great coach, far from it. He is a great HS coach, and I'm glad his cancer went away, and I wish him nothing but the best, but he just wasn't a good fit for the college and the team was going nowhere with him.'

As for the "jacking up of ticket prices"...Have you checked out BU's cost, UNH's cost, BC's cost. $15-20 fits in line with every other school out there. IT's not about the building it's played in, it's based on the level of talent on the ice. You are paying to watch them play...and if you were a true supporter, you'd stop whining about it. If you don't want to pay it, don't...but don't expect to pay any less going anywhere else. And you can't rely on the "I'm not paying $20 to sit on bleachers" anymore...the seats are as comfy as every other stadium in the game.

As for a rink that it's 60% as good as from a building standpoint...I'd say both NU and Maine...those buildings are both old and have some awful site lines. The atmosphere at both those places is what makes it lovable...I've been to every arena in hockey east and from a site lines perspective, I enjoy MC over almost every one of them.

Again, I'm done. Have a good life. You tell me to get a life and call me a punk...yet I'm not the one hiding behind a screen name. If anybody ever wants to meet me, I'm open to that, something apparently you aren't considering the notes on your wall in your profile...I'm not one to hide. Anyhow, good luck with whatever you are trying to sell b/c I'm done buying it. Guys like darin from BC or Goon from UML in the old days both liked to cause trouble but were open to having face to face meetings and ended up being good guys. You like to cause trouble and then hide, which is fine...it's your perogative...so good luck being one of the most hated people on this board. I'm sure that is what you set out to do based on your comment when your last suspension was lifted.

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

P.S - Here's the link, that proves that what I was saying is FACT, not some made up BS...Go down to the section called "A Connecticut State of Mind" and read it...it's as clear as day..."The Warriors welcome UConn to Lawler Arena tomorrow (7 p.m.) with the official opening of the renovated arena that received a $2 million facelift during the offseason." I don't care where the money came from...the facelift (AKA RENOVATION) costs exactly what I said it did.

Fun Fact. Durham is 37 miles from the Verizon. North Andover is 34 miles. I think it would just be a huge crotch punch for this team to have to cross the country, hopefully they can slot in either in manchvegas or conn.

Wait, am I really having a civilized conversation with a fan from my most hated college in the country, BC??? I keep looking up to make sure the sky isn't falling on me ;-) I hope to take 4 points too, but I'll be happy with a win and a tie :)

I don't know if it would be a crotch punch, but I'm not expecting it to play out like braketology today says it will. IF, and it's a mighty big if, MC makes the tourny, I fully expect them, as a 3 or 4 seed, to be sent out west, but one can only hope that doesn't happen. We'll have to wait and see. Should be an interesting final 5 weeks.

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

Exactly as you stated? Really? You said topped 2 million and might have been 3 million.

If you walked out of the rink last year after the last game, and left a blank check made out for 2- 3 million and you walked back in, I would guess your response would be Hello!!!
I also noticed no one was quoted from the school or admin..

Backpedel much? I don't think it's completely legal for a newspaper to put something in print w/o some form of fact checking. I don't think Mike McMahon just pulled the figure from his butt...and yes, I did say 2 mill and might have been 3 b/c I forgot which it was...but I was right about the $2MM.

MCHOCKEY - STATES THINGS BASED ON FACTS THAT HE CAN FIND AND PROVE
The "other" guy - NOT SO MUCH

Why would it be a crotch punch? NU made their first NCAA in almost 2 decades and had to go to Grand Rapids, not sure that was a crotch punch, they were psyched to be in the NCAA's...

We only have one game in hand after sweeping the Blue Bears this past weekend :p

Agreed...and like I said, I fully expect them to be sent out west if they make the tourney.

It all depends on how the season plays out and how the chips lie. I hope MC gets to stay in Manchester and/or even Bridgeport, because it would be great if you guys can travel in numbers. Unfortunately, the lack of history and small size of school/crowd, might play against you. Good luck the rest of the way (AFTER THIS WEEKEND), It's great to see you guys in contention!

Thanks...and do me a favor...if it's not meant to be for MC this year, can you guys just win the whole thing so I can stop hearing the BC fans refer to you guys as the University of No Hardware? Please?!?!?!?! :)

Its the toothless Maine fans that say that over and over, and honestly, whatever. UNH has, for the most part, and at least in relation to Maine, run a clean program, and have been competitive every year (Unlike Maine). BC is on another planet than the rest of us, and I don't see anything changing this year. UNH will have to get a lot of luck like they did on Saturday to put a run together, and maybe its in the cards, but I don't see anyone beating BC when it counts this year....

No it is one toothless Maine fan who keeps pounding out that drivel.:D

Wait...you mean BC is still alive in this whole thing? I thought after dropping 2 out of 3 to Merrimack, they'd be DQ'd from ANY post season play? ;) Sorry, just had to say it based on all the "you guys want to raise a banner for winning the season series against us" posts i saw a few weeks back.

I agree though, BC is going to be tough to beat when it counts this year. They are playing pretty well right now and looks like its going to be tough to stop them.

Re: Merrimack College 2010-2011: taking H.E. one chair-back seat at a time

Having grown up bordering Durham, UNH is definitely my backup to MC, but F BC!

Judging from the NE game, MC is traveling a lot better than it used to, by OT we filled out one of the reserved sections left of the MC bench. I have no delusions of grandeur or anything, but I think we could definitely make ourselves known at opponents' rinks. I have been meaning to get in touch with the administration and suggest they get a bussing program going. Bring the kids down, and have two shuttles back, one right after the game and one after last call. You could have gotten $15 from me for that back in school.

I don't know a lot of schools that do that... I don't think UNH does.
