Yea, right. Sitting on wooden bleachers in a bandbox of a rink with a roof so low you can't flip the puck in the air, is my idea of a great venue. Have you been to any other rinks?
That roof should be caving in any minute now.

NU has certainly picked it up since the beginning of the year. 6-2-2 in their last 10 and Rawlings has pitched 3 shutouts in that span. So far a split of 2-1 games, and I'd expect something similar here. 2 of the top goalies in the league. Huskies only 2 points bback although Warriors have 2 games in hand.

Thanks Brian! Our highest finish is 5th place in 1996-97 under Ron Anderson. That year we also got home ice because Maine was declared ineligible for the playoffs, moving all teams up one spot. We took on BC and lost both games 7-6 and 5-3.
The next year in 1997-98 we made the Garden (aka FleetCenter) for the first time after upsetting #1 BU 4-1 and 5-4 in the QFs.
Of course I remember 97-98. Not sure which was a more disastrous post-season: '97-98 BU or '10-11 Patriots!?!
There are no wooden bleachers at Lawler

Uhhh 07-08 Patriots take the cake in my book
Its hilarious that college hockey fans continue to engage in pointless debates about team facilities. Regardless, Merrimack's small home ice obviously gives them a huge advantage considering they have lost only like 5 home games in the past 1 1/2 seasons. And that is all that really matters.
As a Merrimack fan, I love being able to be right on top of the action. We now have a nice blue line club with as easy access to the arena as any blue line club in the league. The seats are a lot better and the ice is better. It would obviously cost a lot of money, but I think further improvements need to be made to the lobby and if at all possible raising the roof or lowering the ice. Merrimack is a small school that does not need more seats than 2500. Yes, UNH, BU, BC and Maine might be able to bring more fans out, but for the most part 2500 is great. Makes the seats more in demand. It's very embarrassing for college hockey to see games on TV from UML and Northeastern with the place more than half empty as has occured several times over the years.

This is completely disingenuous in that Tsongas is much bigger. However, a % capacity of fans would still probably favor UML. Not sure though.
