Merrimack 2012-13 Season thread

Re: Merrimack 2012-13 Season thread

Solid win for the Warriors! A bit surprised to see Wyer in net for the 'Cats, but apparently, DeSmith has been struggling a bit lately. Collins continues to impress......very unhurried with the puck. Surveys what is happening and usually makes a good decision.
Now go get a win on UNH's "home ice"!

According to google, the VZW is actually a few miles closer to North Andover than Durham! Either way I hope a lot of people make it.

Most complete game for the warriors I ve seen. They played smart, stayed out of the box and their first line came up big last night. Look for UNH to come out flying tonight. This win was big in the fight for home ice as many of the teams around Merrimack struggled last night.

Re: Merrimack 2012-13 Season thread

Overall I thought Merrimack played decent Saturday. They controlled a good portion of the game and half way through the second they had twice the shots of UNH. Excited to see the team play Lowell on Friday because both teams are playing well. Would love to see the Warriors win the first game of the battle of the Merrimack Valley, but Lowell is an extremely hot team right now.

NESN game, students are in, gold-out and fan flag night plus Rene Rancourt in the house, all the ingredients are there for this team to come out pumped up and ready. I'm pretty excited. The schedule has this as a 7pm game not 7:30, FYI.

Pretty sure NESN being there will make the start 7:30. Lowell really needs to come out and take a firm lead. Yes, we've proven we CAN come from behind, but never been one to push the luck. Eventually, you're going to get a Whammy.

Does the music really have to be this loud at the Lawler? Really hard to talk. :(

Re: Merrimack 2012-13 Season thread

Tonight was a good win for Merrimack at home. This was a great example of a home team using their barn as an advantage. It was great reading the Lowell thread and hearing them complain.

Huge W, great game. MC was the much more physical team and did a great job with the cycle throughout the game. As for UML fans, I love the "they must have gearing up for the Alfond trip", yeah looking at the standing that must have been it. Looking forward to WBIN's coverage tonight, big implications with the game tonight.
