Why would you take a penalty away from the play when your team is ahead with just a few minutes left to play? 7 shorthanded situations tonight. Greenway might have been called for hitting after the whistle just a bit earlier. No discipline.
 
Good sound beating. Rennaker had a nice game, probably his best. Lately he’s been generating a lot of offense.

Thought Dawes had one of his best, too bad they missed the hit from behind and he lost his cool.

Great momentum builder with having to play short handed so much. Let’s hope next game is more disciplined.

I wonder what Maine’s record has been with and without Hock the last few years? He has without question been a lucky charm for them.

14-10-3 when he is in the line up, that is 0.574.

Maine overall has gone 0.571 for the past two seasons. Hocks first year he didn’t play in real game.

A win is a win...just need to add some discipline, too many penalty's. Dawe is a key for Maine with his all out play every shift...Maine needs to send some video out to Hockey East...that hit on Dawe was no joke and with it being reviewed...should have been seen and called...poor judgement by the Officials on that one. That hit was a career ender and they need for these Officials to be held accountable. Dawe has taken way too many hits high with lack of calls on it last year and this year...BS 101.

This is typical. Been going on against Merrimack for years. Hockey East doesn't care.

Can Hockey East refs make that call upon review? No call on the ice so it isn't a question of is it a 2 or a 5. Dawe blew it by taking the shot after the play stopped. 3-2 game, Dawes lack of discipline could have been costly. But it wasn't so Maine got the 2 points. I agree HE should see video of that hit on Dawe and if its reviewable those 2 refs should find other work. Probably be chippy again tonight.

Yes they can make a call on that even if there was no call on the ice...very p#ss poor on there part...I mean that was so right in front of them. But your right in one aspect that Dawe lost it, but then when you get targeted over and over...sometimes you lose better judgement.

Its hard to blame Dawe when he took the shot he did but it was still a close game. Glad they won, hopefully Dawe scores a couple tonight. Win tonight will be a great payback

They can review the hit, but can only to decide whether or not to eject a player, i.e., a 5-minute major and game misconduct. They can't use video review and call a 2-minute minor:
93.4 Video Replay Criteria - The following criteria are subject to the use of video replay.
11. To allow the on-ice officials to review infractions that may result in the ejection of a student-athlete.

If a breakup occurred I see the 4 original non-America East teams (BU, BC, NU, PC) joining with UMass and UConn to form a new Hockey East. However, the latest article on CHN implies that the idea of being part of America East was not well received and not likely to happen.

Thanks I thought that might be the case. As usual the the retaliation gets called and thats why you have to have a cool head. Easier said then done
