Re: Maine Recruit Updates: The Search for Spock

Most people would have said that instead of saying you went to Maine for 4 years but....

I am not most people. Actually I was on the 5 year plan.... Dr strong, Dr Ford, Dean Bartlett, The Bears den, delivered a few for Pat and Yiannis and Napolis and lived the dream.. long live Stillwater Village and Cookie Monsters. Rum Bowling and all the rest of the fun things we did 30 years ago.

Re: Maine Recruit Updates: The Search for Spock

I just got confirmation from Mark Anthoine that he has been traded to Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls are positioned for the playoffs while Chicago is near the bottom of the league

Re: Maine Recruit Updates: The Search for Spock

I believe there were recruits at both games this weekend, not sure who they were but saw different kids both nights

There definitely was. I was at the basketball win Saturday afternoon and as I was walking out, Kerluke was touring the building with a sharp dressed kid and his family.

Stats, please - big kid, little kid, did he happen to have goalie pads on???:D ;)

Haha, Well he must've been one of our forward gems, probably 5'9 or so.

Didn't hear anyone other than Kerluke talking as I walked by, but considering the dark hair, I doubt he's another Swedish kid ;)

Might be the same kid i saw on Friday night after the game dressed in a suit. Boy what a great weekend to have recruits up for. With that atmosphere you'd think they'd want to put a jersey on and jump out on the ice.

Re: Maine Recruit Updates: The Search for Spock

Here's a nice summary on him just scroll down as he is toward the bottom. Sounds like a very good one, level headed, and with Dimmen, Van Dyk and Banwell all Seniors next year Maine now has 3 d-men in the fold, which was very important.

He was not the player I saw after the game on Friday night, but very likely was also on hand for the weekend.

25 of his 34 assists on the PP. I approve.

Re: Maine Recruit Updates: The Search for Spock

After starting out a little slow in the USHL, Derek Arnold has 9 goals and 14 points in his last 11 games, lading his team from last to back solidly in the playoffs. Oh, I forgot, he is no longer a Maine recruit......
