So what's the thought in Net versus Quinnipiac.? Go with McGovern in CT. and with the Exhibition game Friday...play all 3 goalies each a period.?

Rob against the Q, Let Romeo play against NB

I'm thinking Romeo isn't doing as well as Matty and Mac right now and that may be the reason Red hasn't put him on the ice. Red was quoted before the season started as saying the position was open to any of the three yet we have only seen the two in game situations.

Romeo was sick for the Portland Ice Breaker...and with that, maybe(not 4-sure)that open the door for McGovern to start the second game versus North Dakota...and he did a outstanding job, imo.

Good luck to the Black Bears tonight. Go Hockey East.

I believe QU has free video of the game.

Thanks for the link. It's too early for "must win" games, but when the season is so short every game is critical. This is an NCAA playoff game essentially because how well we do out of conference will determine our fate for NCAAs providing we take care of business in Hockey East. If they start finding the back of net consistently then this team will be a fun team to watch. It's too early to be pessimistic. Getting a W tonight will set the tone for the rest of the season.

Geeegus can someone teach these kids how to win a faceoff and stop giving the puck away? Am getting sick and tired of this chit.

Re: Maine Hockey: Summer 2015 on the Stillwater

Well you got one thing right, they can only get better. They definitely can't get any worse.

A rookie goaltender turns in a couple brilliant performances and gets rewarded with the bench? It's MOTS, like all the recent seasons. This team sucks. I don't blame anyone necessarily. We simply never have the players to win, PERIOD ! Quinnipiac is faster and more skilled.

Take it easy... McGovern could be feeling after effects of that collision at Union. We don't know.

Only good thing I saw out there tonight was the friggin cheerleaders. Wake me up when we can figure out how to score a gd goal.

Re: Maine Hockey: Summer 2015 on the Stillwater

I'm told by someone I trust that is one of the worst Maine hockey games they've ever seen. Hopefully it's just an egg laid on this night?

The performances of Shore and Hutton in the pros relative to last year at Maine have me alarmed about the direction. You can't do anything with those two guys? Really?

Well, when last years goal tending was shakey, the answer is no. And Shore wasn't even tuned in last year.

Re: Maine Hockey: Summer 2015 on the Stillwater

Great video feed from Quinnipiac, including sound of the puck hitting off the glass. The Bobcats are a quality team. Speed, skill and they can put the puck in the net. Maine defeated in almost every statistic. It appeared as though they never showed up. Record now 0-2-3. No where to go but up.

It's a results oriented profession. We are winless, and not headed in the right direction.

If it's not the worst, it's right up there in top 3. Could possibly use the excuse they were tired. Three games in four days. I'm trying to give them benefit of doubt.

He was. Knee injury, someone said.

That was about as complete a thrashing as you can get.
