For all the golfers on here, the Shawn Walsh Memorial Golf Classic will be held July 22nd at Martindale Country Club in Auburn. Proceeds go to renovating the Alfond Family Lounge, entrance to the Shawn Walsh Center and the coach's offices.

How much is it and where do we sign up? I might do it.

Now folks can let go of the dream of Grant coming back

Meh...he might stop in once in awhile and say hello. :) Maybe right before a REAL important game, who knows ;) I do like the fact he is maintaining a home in Bangor. Hey, when its in your blood, its in your blood.

Amen! I'm more worried about what type of recruits that Maine is going to be getting. That being said.........I LOVED Grant's dig at "micromanaging" TIMMAY! Too funny.

Does anyone else feel like things have already improved around Maine Hockey? It certainly seems like there is a freer flow of information now..........and a more positive attitude around the program.

Yes! Now if we can only get you to get on board with the positive attitude. :D

Does anyone know when the Season Ticket renewal's are going to be sent out and when the 2013-14 schedule is going to be released? I hope that there are not a lot of Sunday Games this year.

Re: Maine Hockey 2013-2014 Part 1: Red Dawn

Season ticket applications are normally mailed the first week in July. Deadline for renewal has been July 31.

I'm on my phone and can't read it now, but the link in the 2013-14 schedules thread has a link to an Excel file with each school's known schedule. As I recall HEA scheduled Maine as 2 home/2 road instead of the split given most other teams because of travel. I remember that the UHN game is Sunday 1/26/14 and I think the BU game is on a Sunday in November.

The @BU game was scheduled for Sunday, November 17 but that was changed for Frozen Fenway. Maine hosts BU on that Friday night.

Looking forward to the schedule being released.

Hopefully, Maine makes it out to South Bend - the closest thing I've got to a home game.

There's some reliable-looking talk on the Cornell board that the tournament is actually Saturday-Sunday this year (December 28-29). So rather than falling in a dead spot between Christmas and New Years, the return trip on a flight is going to be dangerously close to New Years -- earliest possible date is the 30th. I'm planning to go, and also planning to buy a ticket earlier than usual - maybe by the end of next month.

For those who haven't been, the Fort Meyers airport is beyond convenient. It's right there. But it looks like you can probably save a couple hundred bucks, at least, by flying into Tampa or Sarasota. It's an easy enough drive -- just 100 or so miles down the gulf coast.

Maine will be playing at South Bend February 7/8, 2014. Looking forward to that train trip. The station appears to be walking distance to my hotel.

Flying can't be that much more expensive can it?!?

Anyone hear anything on other assistant position? Looks like no Jay Leach after all.
