They beat a bad Lowell team, yea :) Went on the road and won though so thats a good thing. Looks like Marty finally found what we've been looking for. If he can continue then that could be a key to this season. I think the team plays better in front of him.

I wouldn't label UML a bad Team just yet,but if after 15-16 games they are still playing .500 hockey or less then the tag should fit...AND as glad for the win and having Ouellette get his first win....scary to think that the #1 netminder has a 3.00 plus gaa and a save % below .900.

No sighting of the "The Abbott" of mt St Timmay. Overall a better effort, Marty played well, some tough turnovers that cost goals, and some questionable penalties....Nemo is usually more reserved. Still playing too much with the puck mid ice, so we slow ourselves down and let other team regroup...Lomberg , Merchant , shore will be good ,Shore needs to use body more. Positive aspects. Next week will need to be better

NHL rule has to do with dmen coming down below the circles I think...probably the same rule.

So Ouellette is the goalie of the future?

TF. Good thing Maine tried to develop him the last couple seasons.

Or am I being too harsh? Did he really earn his spot on the bench (immaturity, lack of discipline/commitment/whatever)?

Diamond will be a huge component of this team t'il the end. He adds grit, tenacity and determination as all the Captains do.
Nemec had a tough night, Cornell had a better one

Earn his spot? Maine has always gon with who is hot today these last couple 'o yrs.
Sullivan is struggling...Marty needed time but howly cow...how much? He's doing great

Not sure I'd say great....Numbers are better than the other two guys but his svp is under 900 and the last two he allowed against Lowell weren't exactly awe inspiring.

I think Marty may have won the war of attrition. IOW, since our originally deemed number one, Sullivan, has been suking so bad, Marty wins, and your right, he has been developed oh so much in the past.

yeah it sucks having to play against Army the second game of the year.... rolleyes

and back before Timmy had maine in the dumpster, was the pre Christmas schedule ever the excuse?

how come lately, when Mains plays Union.. union is awesome, and then when Maine plays St Lawrence, SLU is awesome, it was not that long ago that when Timmy's Maine team played QUinnipiac, they were unstoppable too...

should we be hoping for more DIII teams on the pre christmas schedule??? it that what you are suggesting?

I gotta say... I almost never drink... but every time I think about my former passion.. Maine hockey... I look at my scotch and I look at my bourbon and think... should I ... and then I say... it won't help... nothing will
