A mythical beast from greek mythology, that had the head of a lion, a tail that was a snakle and a goat's head that grew from it's back so any mythical or legendary item can apply....and I guess Irish fan wants less T shirts for the hockey team....Hope and Don't change you have fewer clothes.....:)

You are an idiot. For the millionth time, I've said that the hockey program deserves what they get. They were the engine that drove the athletic program for many years. The program brought great pride to the entire state of Maine. I'm not saying any of the perks they get are bad, but it's naive to think that the cross country team gets just as much as hockey team. That's what you argued. Now you're changing your argument.

. All along I asked for examples of perrks, so far you have given t shirts and better service at Pat's......I think you have been hoisted on your own petard.....

bearnecessity, the fact that you're still pushing this either means you're playing devil's advocate or you think that they really don't get perks in which case you're kind of an idiot. accept it as fact because it's true. you don't need examples to know that they get more perks than the swimming and diving team...

Thank God. A voice of reason. I know the hockey players get more clothes (golf shirts, sweatshirts, tshirts, gym shorts, warm ups, fleeces, etc) than the other teams. Bearnecessity is just an idiot who has some kind of agenda. I'm not really sure what the big deal is here. It's this way at a lot of schools. I mean you think ND football players don't get more? Duke, UK, UNC hoop players? Merrimack, BU, UMass-Lowell, Duluth hockey players? I mean it just is what it is.

I know it's still early, but at 1-4 is tonight a must win game for the bears? I was thinking if they don't win a game this weekend, I couldn't imagine how low morale would be coming back and playing BC and UNH next weekend.

The goaltending will have to be jimmylike for Maine
Toeven have a chance this weekend.

Beattie is out. Diamond, Anthoine, Lomberg, Merchant, Shore will have to contribute offensively. They created some chances end of 2nd and beginning of 3rd, but couldn't bury them. Defense is awful. No way around that. Sullivan had a real rough weekend. I'd like to see Morris get a start one night. I don't have the faith in Timmy to give Morris a shot, but hopefully he will. PC has a very good coach so Maine will be outcoached this weekend, that's for sure.

I'd say that at least one win this weekend is a necessity. It's really a shame and a failure that a big athletic 6-5 goaltender from Maine is playing for them. I think the better question is - Will Maine score a goal this weekend?

either that, or s/he is playing the priceless game of getting others to state what he wants stated publicly, but does not want to be the one to state it.

there is plenty that can be mentioned, but it would not help anything or anyone to publish

i will go on record as stating that the hockey team never gets anything that is not offered every other student at UMaine

It was simply fun to watch Irish bet their IRISH up....nothing more. D 1 athletes do recieve benefits for their work and commitment, and revenue sports tend to be better recognised by the populace ....i feel so free now that i have come to the light....split this weekend , at least, Ouellette start????? D isn't as bad as have played, with exception of Pryor.....whose single dimension has yet to materalise...F have to score.......and PP needs at least 2 goals this weekend....and leamen will win the coaching battle.....

Finally some hockey talk..Pryor is awful, as you mentioned, but Cornell doesn't have it either. He got beat way too many times against SLU. Nemec is steady, but doesn't use body enough. I liked what I saw from Hutton last weekend. If Parker, Beattie and Swavely return for January, I'd like the offense a lot more.

Riley-Higgins-Merchant

If the defense and goaltending can stand up, at least make the playoffs, it'd be better than this past weekend. As much as I think there needs to be a coaching change, I will be rooting for a win every weekend. Go Black Bears!

Swap Higgins and Beattie. Maybe throw the younger Swavely on that second line for some grit and toughness.

Maine will have their hands full all weekend,playing at PC has had some bad results in the past...PC sweeps,Maine is in trouble/big time...no scoring/non physical approach/goaltending is ???/strenght & conditioning non existent...Leaman schools Whitehead over and over again....by the one third point of the season(12 games)...Maine could very well be 2-10-0 or 3-9-0....

Ouellette in net this hope Maine can atleast score once this game...
