Maine 2012-2013 Fade to Black

Re: Maine 2012-2013 Fade to Black

I will try Otto's,

but is it better than the Pizza Joint on Forest Ave?
(that is my all time favorite pizza)... and there used to be a place called the Cheesecake Pizza place in the Old Port, and it was the best, with the best cheesecake... DRY as could be!

Ahh, the cheesecake pizza place. Down in the basement on Exchange Street, with that great record store up above it, whose name I cannot remember. I think Casablanca Comics was right there as well.

Mike Lundin playing for the Ottawa Senators is seeing some ice time tonight against the Bruins. 1 - 1 with 4 minutes left.

Re: Maine 2012-2013 Fade to Black

Joey Diamond is a Bridgeport Sound Tiger.

I AM going to see him play in the A,

maybe the new Maine Hockey motto under Timmy should be... Maine Hockey, your quickest route to the pros.

Hopefully he(TW)takes your advice and joins Nomis in Toronto(NHL)as a Scout......

Good to see he recovered from getting steamrolled. And btw Angelone's is the best pizza in Portland. :)

Re: Maine 2012-2013 Fade to Black

One of those things fans don't care about but schools do: scholar athletes were named by the school.

“The University of Maine is pleased to announce its 2012 Maine Scholar-Athlete Award winners,” said Director of Athletics Steve Abbott. “This group of tremendous student-athletes do not just excel in their sport, but also in the classroom. It is an outstanding achievement that for the 10th year in a row over half of our student-athletes were honored. Our coaches and staff congratulates them on this outstanding accomplishment.”

Among hockey players:
Hutton, Lomberg, Merchant, Morris, Shore, S. Swavely and Williams were named "Rising Stars" who earned a 3.0GPA in their first semester at Maine.
Cerretani, Higgins, Leen, Norman and Rutt earned bronze medals (first time winners); Anthoine, Beattie, O'Connor, Pryor, Sullivan and J. Swavely won silver; Cornell and Shemansky won gold and Nemec was one of four students at the school who earned a double gold signifying the fourth time he has attained the status. In all, 21 members of the hockey team were honored.

Congratulations to all student athletes. Monday night will be the recognition banquet, where Team Maine members consisting of the top So., JR. and Sr. athlete (GPA) from each sport will be named. The Dean Smith Award will also be presented at that time.

Re: Maine 2012-2013 Fade to Black

I might actually show-up in Amherst for the first two games, before Tim has a chance to crush any pre-season hopes I could possibly harbor.

(That strategy didn't work for me at Union four years ago, though.)

you don't have to eat the grease, but you will need a couple inches of napkins for each slice

You got that right. Pizza joint went way up on their prices too, a few years back. I think they're expensive compaired to other places. Have you had a sandwich from Po Boys n Pickles on Forest? Sooooo good.
