Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

I'm sure if he moves Rutt to forward, TIMMAY will make sure the defense is covered by moving Shemansky back there.

While he's at it, since we have three great goalies, why doesn't Coach Whitehead try moving Sullivan up to defense to get him into a few more games.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

I can't imagine moving Rutt , the only guy who will whack someone on a consistent basis. I'm not sure what that would accomplish. If you want to move him up on the PP I say give it a try but to move him to forward? that's just odd

Jake is already playing on the power play. He had a goal and an assist in the UML game. With both Connor Leen and Kyle Beattie questionable this weekend, Rutt may in fact be the best choice in moving to forward. Maine needs scoring desperately.

So have we run out of other forwards? Rutt's a defenseman pherchrissakes....there's a reason he's on the blue line, its because thats what he does. Its what he's been trained to do his whole life probably. You just dont move defensemen up or forwards back to D unless there is absolutely no other option. Geezus Timmay is clueless, absoluteley clueless.

There are 12 forwards who are not getting the job done if we're not scoring or their talent level is lacking. It's one or the other. Jake Rutt is not going to help that situation. Get the 12 guys who are supposed to be up front working together and working hard out there.

You've got Riley, Norman or Williams who can also be moved to that spot. It just doesn't make sense to move arguably your best D-man up to forward. There's no guarantee he's gonna score, and even if he does, how many more would the defense give up without him being in there?

Right now there's seven healthy d-men, and 11 forwards. So yeah, one of them has to move up. But you shouldn't move your best defenseman up just to fill a hole as a fourth line grinder.

He sure got walked in Vermont...............OUCH
He just may be a forward....... Park in front of the net...............
the boys need to pass the puck.........too much individual effort............. ON the PP the players are afraid to shoot or one time......touch pass..........Timmy's got them thinking too much..............

To much individual effort and the rookies are afraid of making a mistake...............TIMMAY TOO MUCH VIDEO AND PHYSCO ANALYSIS.........Take a braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake.................

Play MORRIS

Is Leidermark out..??? If he's healthy put him in at forward on the 4th line...and put Norman in on that line also with the 3rd being whomever...that comes out to 12 forwards without taking a regular D-man from his position. I mean its better(not really but,but better then on D)to have Norman @ a forward position....things could be real ugly this weekend with BU losing twice in two weeks in the Bean Pot and not playing very well over a period of time...Parker should be in rare form, bet the Officials get a ear full this weekend, and NOT from Whitehead I might add..!

Is he playing forward on the PP?

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

What's the chance of fans cobbling together the 191k for a buyout and bringing Jim M. on? If all the fans who stopped going to the games put some cash together etc etc etc..
Otherwise I see Tim finishing out his contract.

I agree with you, but maybe there is a workable alternative strategy..?

Probably no such chance exists, but hiring an ambitious young coach at the half the price (and throwing-in lucrative incentive-clauses to get him his money if he succeeds) could work both on the ice, and off it.

I might be a hopeless dreamer, but I'm paid on the basis of my performance, and that seems fair to me.

Tim..? He isn't even required to show-up for work, evidently.

How about this. I agree to put up half of the replacement coaches salary...so I put about 85,000. Under one provision,....every ticket sold next season I get a 5 dollar royalty, no questions asked, and pay our new coach the other half of his salary at the end of the season and I keep all that is left over.

So the fast up tempo style Maine plays is going to pay dividends down the road, WT F

Sure, because we are so much faster than other teams in HE

If there is one thing Timmay might be good at it's trying to bullchit the local media and fans . No one in their right mind believes this jabroney. He's a used car salesman and a pizz poor hockey coach.

Ya know, why does larry keep quoting this guy, what a waste of print

We see our role as essentially defensive in nature. While our forwards are advancing so fast and everyone's knocking themselves out to be heroes, we are holding ourselves in reserve in case the Terriers mount a counteroffensive which threatens Paris... or maybe even New York. Then we can move in and stop them.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

Perhaps the most amazing thing that occurred to me while reading that link (thanks, Wally) was that Larry let Tim's patently preposterous remarks stand alone, without injecting even a hint of irony.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

No Connor Leen tonight for Maine.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

Jesus, TIMMAY did it, put Rutt at forward. Liedermark's in so there's the body replacement for Leen, so no need at all for Rutt to be at forward other than TIMMAY's brilliance.
