Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

But that's cause they're all a year older. It takes time to develop scoring, and learn how to win games, don'tcha know?

lol... guess what my kids also do? skate their azzes off in every drill... i'm not saying we are a very good team, but what we are, is a whole lot better than last year's team which was largely the same (replaced four seniors with 4 freshman and a sophomore)...

but one thing is for certain, we do not glide around in practice

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

I'll do it for $100K. Where do I sign, Abbott?

(Thanks a lot for low-balling me. )

I'll settle for $99K and a fishing cabin on the Penobscot for the summer, and I'll sign off on a minimum of 5 wins as an incentive-clause.

be careful when you try to schedule the cupcakes to get those 5 wins... Mercyhurst might not just roll over

Pay off my outstanding debt as a "signing bonus" (it's not that much, but enough), 3 years, $75K per year, no need for annual bump this time. Lease me a car (like they do for TW) Bonus at 10 wins. Bonus at top 8 in HE tournament. Bonus at Home Ice in HE tournament. Bonus for NCAAs. Bonus for Frozen 4. Bonus for Nat'l title.

Having worked commissioned sales, there is nothing like incentive to provide a drive to excel.

So Maine men's hoops had 2,200+ in attendance last night with the Beach Night promotion vs. Vermont. That's only about 1,500 less than what the hockey program is currently drawing. Pathetic.

Curious - when was the last time you left the warm climate of San Diego and set foot in a UMaine athletic facility?

A: How is that relevant to his point?

B: You don't have to go to a game to find out the attendance

C: Have you ever been to San Diego? Who would want to leave!

Still have the scorecard from Torrey Pines - it is close to paradise.

sandiego man's b*tching about UMaine hockey would have more credibility if he actually attended games.

Somebody's panties are twisted.

Staying far away from thsi trainwreck is probably the best thing for anyone's blood pressure, anger management, and overall well-being. Plus, if it gets TIMMAY out of here faster to stay away, I'm all for it.

You don't need to see this team in person to see what kind of ****show TIMMAY's made of this once great program.

Just talked to my doc. Signed back in to the boards, re-upped my Nexium script...now for the BP meds...ugh...

Two game series with BC this weekend at Conte. What's the guess on the 2 game total goals for this one?

I'll go BC 8, Maine 1.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

I live about 6 or 7 miles from Conte. I refuse to go. I can't look at The Undertaker behind the Bears bench any longer.
I'll be at B.U - Providence Saturday night at Agganis, cringing over the between period updates of other H.E. games.
Never ever thought I'd write these words.

I agree. And then 10-1 on Saturday and Johnny Hockey nets a natural hat trick.

Re: Maine 2012-13 Part 3D: Still digging

BC 11 Maine 1 ...Johnny Hockey nets 4 goals vs Maine.

On Saturday, January 27th 2001, Brian Gionta scored 4 goals against Maine in the 1st period alone and added another one to make it 5 goals in one game. He was held scoreless the night before. No assists on the weekend for 5 total points, all goals.
