Anyone seen season tickets apps yet?

I don't even think they know exactly how many seats they are going to have..........and if any season tix seat locations are being lost with the new construction. Maybe that is one of the reasons for the delay(?).

Keep me in mind on that, wally. I might be able to swing that with Mrs. UR. I work too late and live too far away for Fridays to be an option, but Saturdays.....

Rachel Lenzi has the "tentative" schedule in her column. The only big surprise is I thought Nebraska-Omaha was coming to Orono, but instead it's Alabama-Huntsville coming to Orono in early February.

I see conflicting information with Northeastern regarding your mutual first game: October 9th vs. October 16th. I am leaning towards your way of it, given that you are already playing North Dakota twice that week. However, given your schedule is tentative and theirs is official, well... let's just hope we can iron it all out.

I was surprised also on no UNO @ Maine...would have been better for PWR points,UNO along with UND should be top 15 Teams in the NC$$ for the most part...I know you need to win these games, but I would rather play top flight teams...and that is NO disrespect for UAH. Tough schedules are what good Programs are about.

Hockey East announces that senior Jeff Dimmen and freshman Dan Sullivan share the Hockey East Top Scholar-Athlete Award. Dimmen and Sullivan both achieved GPA's of 4.0, the only two in HE. Maine had 8 others named to the All Academic Team. Tanner House, Gustav Nyquist, Theo Andersson, Mark Nemec, Brian Flynn, Brice O'Connor, Adam Shemansky and Jon Swavely. Some of these academic awards were announced earlier by Maine. Apparently, Hockey East is now officially making the announcement. Congratulations to these student-athletes.

Looks like the Fenway game fell through. Just as well.

Thats too bad. Oh well the season will still be exciting and we should do well, despite all the yahoos who pretend to be fans and only bash our program. Go Black Bears!!!!!!

OK, I may be new here, but us yahoos are actually setting realistic expectations for next year. For Maine Hockey, the goal of "do well" means at least a HE semis berth AND NCAA tourney bid. Anything less is definitely not a job well done. I'm usually a really optimistic person, but I don't see much optimism going into next season.

Re: Maine 2011 Offseason #2: Wondering If We'll Outdraw Women's Hoops This Year

Thats disappointing. Maybe in 2012/2013?

Larry is speculating that the door is still open for one of the UNH games to be at Fenway. UNH is at the Alfond for the final two games of the regular season. Frankly, I can't see Maine giving up home ice to play a game at Fenway.

I guess legitimate criticism is now "bashing". Further, traveling to games, paying for tickets, and following the team then sharing legitimate criticisms on this board makes one a pretend fan aka a "yahoo". Just want to be sure I understand the new rules for the upcoming season. Despite the chance I could be labeled a basher or yahoo, I plan to attend as many games as possible and share my critiques on this board.
