Update: Bemidji completes the sweep and keeps Anchorage 3 pts behind the Lakers.
Good stuff.
It would be nice to see three teams from the WCHA make the NCAAs . MI. Tech and Minnesota State should be able to hang on but Bowling Green loss some ground over the weekend in the power ranking.
Another great weekend for the Lakers. You have to love how well their chances improve of making the play-offs with bye weekends.
Bill hit the nail on the head with everything and the only response was that you changed your name. When players are mad at you and disapproving of your account, it might be time to step back and take a long look at your actions. No one is ever going to give you the award or recognition you're looking for from running this negative account. Your following arguments remind me of Midge. The term Roquette was established by another user on this forum for those Laker "fans" who were upset with the firing of Jim Roque and came on here bashing Dunbar, Mclain and even LSSU in general, and have occasionally even carried over that bashing to Damon Whitten as Roque's replacement. I'm well aware that the same type of bashing occurred on Twitter and Facebook immediately after Jim Roque was fired. Given the nature of some of the tweets on your @LakeStateHockey account, both from you and some of your followers, you shouldn't act surprised that you are being referred to as a Roquette. Heck, even in your post here tonight you resorted to Dunbar bashing.
You may view your Twitter account as an unofficial fan account, but a lot of your followers may not be aware that it has no official connection to the LSSU Athletic Department. I don't use social media much and don't know all the capabilities of Twitter. If Twitter allows for it, my suggestion is that you make some type of disclaimer on your Twitter account (that everyone can easily see) saying that your account is an unofficial fan account with no direct connection to LSSU. With a current user name of @LakeStateHockey, you're probably fortunate that LSSU hasn't asked Twitter to force you to change that user name again, especially with the negative tweets that have occurred. For an unofficial fan site, I have no problem with Laker fans offering differing opinions, but when it's done on social media like Twitter (or Facebook) and there isn't a clear distinction that it is only a fan site with no connection to LSSU itself, then I'm not surprised that the Laker Athletic Department doesn't exactly like it.
It should be patently obvious to you that when current and former Laker players aren't happy with what is being posted on your Twitter account, you are on the wrong track as to what material is appropriate if you want to be considered a true fan by those at the very heart of the program, the players.
As for suggesting that people follow you on Twitter, I find that kind of amusing because I know of specific cases where you have blocked users from following you when they chose to take issue (via tweets) with some of the negativity. Evidently free speech applies to your Twitter following principally to those who agree with you.

I'm not going to get into a ****ing match with "Bill" (or as I call him, Al) over this. I tell it like it is on my Twitter account. Maybe people need to develop thicker skin if they're going to play a D1 sport. Fans are supportive AND critical of their team when it's called for. I'm not going to sensor myself and poop out rainbows and unicorns when the team isn't producing. I like W's. Plain and simple.
Lakers-88-92-94 probably made that comment because you sound so like Midge.Interesting that you liken me to Midge. Haven't heard much out of him (or is it her?) lately. I fail to see the likeness, but appreciate that you also consider me feisty!
..."Bill" (or as I call him, Al) ...
Funny how "W's" didn't seem to matter as much to you when Roque was at the helm. It's one thing to have this skin but to call yourself a fan site and then bash the team and the program every chance you get is ridiculous. Whether you like the direction the team is headed or not you're the most negative part of this program and your page is a red flag to any potential recruit or their family. Who'd want to play somewhere if their "fan" account is going to be their biggest naysayers. I'm likening you to Midge because your argument is full of holes and you're lost in your own crazy world where you think you're doing a right and noble thing. All your doing is showing about a 1,000 people what an idiot you and your 6 cronies that actually respond think of the program. Unfortunately, no one actually cares. Also, not sure why you continue refer to Bill as 'Al'. That just seems like a weird joke that you somehow find worthy of regurgitating.
It'd be great if your site and the official account could work together. The official one isn't great but at least it's official and an inside look and at least I feel good when I read their posts. I look at what you guys post and wonder how you guys consider yourself fans or helpful in any way.
Anyways, you and your twitter account are not worth the time of this thread and I'd rather not drag this out any further or fuel your account's recognition any further.
Who's all making the trip west to Marquette this weekend? Should be a great matchup, would love to be able to catch some games at Berry if I could :/
Probably the same people who thought the program was headed in the right direction last year at this time while Jim Roque was still coach. And there are way more than 6 people who feel that the program is not headed in the right direction!

Honestly, Al, I don't know what they thought last year at this time. I only know what they think right now.
Does anyone else see the irony in someone hiding behind a screen name (Laker Hockey Fanatic) denying that Bill is not someone named Bill? I've known Bill for many years and usually see him at Laker games a few times a year. Saw and talked to him at the UAH games last week.
Not sure who he thinks Al is but he is woefully off base.
