Re: LSSU hockey 2013-14
Given that every team but 2 (QU, Gophers) had double digit losses last year, that's a pretty safe bet.
I like to read the boards of other WCHA teams, to see how things are going this year for Kato's competition, but the negativity and outrageously out-of-touch expectations on this one has pretty much exhausted my patience. Reality check - It's not 1988 anymore. You're a school of near-zero people, in a town of near-zero people, stuck in the worst weather in the Continental US (and much of Alaska, for that matter). First round draft picks aren't begging to join your team. You're not going to go 33-7 and cruise to a national title. And that's whether Jim Roque, Jerry York, Badger Bob Johnson, or St. Mariucci is coaching your team. Is Roque a great coach? I don't know, but probably not. But whoever you have in there, college hockey has changed appreciably since you were winning national titles, and it's a heck of a hill to climb for all the schools like yours and mine that the average, non-hockey fan has never heard of it. But can't you enjoy the ride just a little bit along the way?
It will be another year of double digit losses
