Fran Anzalone is a great recruiter.... he brought that hardworking Sellout kid ... I wish I knew what happened to him. He was super talented and a really hardworker... he could have played in the nhl. The tooth is out there.

Not sure where you get this. I listen to the broadcasts regurlay and don't have a sense of what you say. BC has been supportive of JR, especially in the "lean years." I think he has been very positive about the team. any examples? You seem to have an anti-radio station bias. Does this comment stem from that?

After last year. I was neutral on Coach Roque. The decision was in the hands of the Pres and AD. I did not think they would move and they chose not to do anything. The Lakers were picked to finish 10th by most and at the halfway point we are in 4th place (even though MSU has 2 games in hand). Despite the recent three game losing streak - 2 at higher ranked and hot OSU and one to our big rival, in all three games the Lakers played hard and pretty well. If any Laker fan was told October 1st that we would be in 4th place at the break, I think he would have been pretty happy........right?
Roque has to go?? If you had a meeting with the Pres and AD today, what would be your argument - we're in 4th but we should be in 2nd? Let's play out the 2nd half first. It will be tough to remain in the top 4 and I did not expect us to be there but this team is certainly clearly better than previous years. We have good goaltenders, some good young players, and bring a strong effort most every night.

It's nice to see hear from you sm. I'm certainly glad the results so far this year have been the same as past years. LOL. Noticed you havent been posting as much as past years but i can't put my finger on why this would be. Oh wait the Lakers are having a good year so far which means you can't complain as much, kinda like a few others on here. God there's alot of crow being eaten on this thread and i think it's funny as *ell. Keep up the good work in the second half LAKERS!!

I could care less about what station the games are on living a thousand miles away from Sault Ste. Marie. I support coach Roque and know what I hear when I log on to listen and the announcers negativity about the Lakers many times and the coach.

What I don't get is how bad it is.... It is actually quite awesome. If one looks back the team was ranked last in some polls and on the face of it as an outsider looking at LSSU's talent pool it should have been. Ahhh but the outside is looking at it and ranking them in the top 15th in the country at the holidays....mmmmm. Also if you don't have offense what do you practice, shooting drills, yes you always do that, also the players need to do that on their own and not waste practice time.....You practice defense and they are doing that and if they get a chance they win doing that. Oh by the way defense is usually coaching intensive so to many, you need to think about that especially TS hey we are in the top tier in the country from the little UP, recruiting the lower holes, little talent and a bad coach. So I guess you all believe in Miracles because if I look at it your way it must be...PS I am neither a Roque supporter or demoter. Actually if one looks at my history you'd think me the later but this is my objective, sarcastic view. Happy Holidays and go Lakers. And I hope TS goes too you are boring me to death.lol

Two great games to watch! I thought that they were going to blow it Saturday. At 3-0, I noticed one of the Laker players taunting a Northern player by saying something and looking up the scoreboard (over in front of the Laker bench, and doing it not once but twice!) I wish now I would have payed closer attention to whom it was. I thought, how embarassing for him and sad. Shortly after, Northern started with thier come back. Luckily, the Lakers got back on track for the WIN......

Boy, I miss a couple of days and "the faithful have thrown Bill Crawford & Jim Roque under the bus and are pining away for Frank & Jeff, and player of the past. You all should be dancing in the aisles with the first half you have had. Given the challenges of attracting D1 talent to a small school in the tundra, I think the coaches have done a pretty drn good job of recruiting. Why won't you chill out and enjoy the season. Aren't there enough bodies under the bus yet???

If LSSU Had 5 or 6 Nik Sellerts we would be the #1 team in the ccha... with his hard work and dedication to the game then lssu would surely be the best in the land you top that with coaching legend Frank Assalone and his recent run of college and pro sucksess lake state could beat the Red Wings. Oh please truthy my friend spin us a yarn about how your boy got cut and our little town in the tundra will never succeed without FA and Nik the d!ck .... PLEASE PLEASE....

I beg to differ. The results are not the same, they're better. We're in 4th place. The team is playing better more frequently, we've received more timely goals, and had steady goaltending.
I also agree with Fricker about the recruiting and our top two goaltenders stack up well against the rest of the league.
Lakerchum also made a good point. We only see you after a loss. Sweeping MSU at home and Miami on the road were two huge weekends. No comments from you after either. Can it be that your dislike of coach Roque makes you unhappy when the Lakers win?

I have been to several games this year and have been impressed with how the team is capable of playing. I am also frustrated when they do not play up to their abilities. I agree with you about letting the 2nd half play out. I never expected to see them ranked 11th in country at one time.
With a Friday night record of 2-6-0 and 9-1-1 on every other day of the week. I would like to propose a schedule change for the second half of the season; change the Friday night games to Sundays. So they would play Saturday and Sunday.
