Lowell, 2016 Off-Season Thread

Re: Lowell, 2016 Off-Season Thread

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure who the the other team will be. Merrimack would probably be the most obvious, but it looks like SLU and Clarkson visited MC & UNH last season.

So far Lowell's known OOC:

UMD (x2)
@CC (x2)
SLU
Clarkson
Colgate (Dartmouth Tourney)
Dartmouth/ASU (Dartmouth Tourney)
@Umass (Alumni Cup)

Assuming Lowell continues to schedule 17 regular season home games, that leaves two more games for an OOC opponent at the Tsongas, and one more on the road (maybe an RPI return trip?).

The other NC games are at Nebraska-Omaha x2 and at RPI.

When was the return trip from Denver scheduled?

Re: Lowell, 2016 Off-Season Thread

Are we sure there is a return trip? That was years ago at this point and Denver has been here multiple times to play schools nearby...

I have no idea. I believe they were expected to make a return trip but maybe that's changed.

One of the years they did the season ticket holder event, they showed the expected return trips, and I thought DU was this year?

well, technically we're off-balance with CC again so they (DU-CC) owe us an entire weekend, 1 game each.

Right, I would have figured we'd have two with Denver at Tsongas this year and then another trip to Colorado in 17-18. That's what led to the question.

Maybe Montgomery coming in screwd something up...

Re: Lowell, 2016 Off-Season Thread

So far ... good news for Lowell fans as we haven't lost anyone early yet. So far.

BC has lost Jr D Steve Santini, Jr F Adam Gilmour, So F Alex Tuch and Fr F Miles Wood. Rumors still going about Demko leaving early, maybe two others as well.
Apparently NU's JR D Matt Benning has signed with the Bruins today.
Maine lost Jr D Dan Renouf.
UNH lost So F Andrew Poturalski.
PC has lost Jr G Nick Ellis, rumors that they could lose 1/2 more as well.

Joe g will graduate from Uml ,talked to mom smith all about education
He could still play if he has graduated. If he's going for his masters. From his quote on the aforementioned Bucs article, it would appear he was planning on coming back.
Obviously it didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to but we look back and we think we had an amazing year and now it’s time to rest up and get ready for next year.

Re: Lowell, 2016 Off-Season Thread

I think he meant Joe G will be here for his senior year, not that he's graduating this year.
