LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Was I the only one who thought Ben had taken the principal job at the end there? I thought that was a pretty nice twist, or maybe I was just too dense not to have seen it coming.

Yep, that was the intent. It was nicely done.

I liked this episode. Not sure why a killer like Ben is getting all this redemption, but... He's a bady that we root for somehow. Nice job by the writers there.

And look at Jack being all "Locke like." Nice journey there.

Great post alfablue. Lots of good stuff to think about.

I think Widmore is there to blowup the island.

How are you ladies holding up? Two weeks without Sawyer. :)

I forgot where we last left Jin. Claire's camp?

And casting Thornburgh from Die Hard as the slimmy principal is the "Good call of the day."

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Wasn't Ben supposed to die this episode?

he was supposed to "face his demise" Which he did, but then his demise was postponed for a while.

Oh, and Miles' reference to Paolo and Nikki was awesome. And seeing by the end, he'd done some digging of his own this episode.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

They should totally spin off Sawyer and Miles into a cop show.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Anyone else think Charlotte was a little bit of a b* a the end there? I mean, she was caught snooping through his stuff, and she didn't understand why he was a little angry?

You don't think Sawyer went a little over board too?

I don't think she was doing it accidentally or innocently. I have a feeling she had a motive for that.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

The best part of last night's episode was the preview showing that next week will be a Richard episode. :D

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

What if Whidmore (sp) isn't trying to take over the island so much as keep Locke (Smoke Monster) and perhaps others ON the island?

I think the freighter was Witmore being selfish and trying to get the island back from Ben. I think he has since been contacted by Jacob and told how to stop Flocke and save the island.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Anyone want to take a guess as to who/what fLocke's mother was?

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

I still haven't decided on what Charolotte was doing- intentional or looking for a T. But her reaction to James when he came begging back after thowing her out may have been being a b**TCH, but I think it was quite appropriate.

Back on the island, I really can't tell what's the deal with Whidmore, yet. My wife and I talked about it some, too- Jacob seemed to know he was coming, and that lighthouse thing could have been a thin veil of a signal. But it's also equally possible that he was manipulating jack to take out the signal.

Whidmore is very anti-Ben, that we do know. ben exiled him for some reason AND we know Ben didn't actually ever talk to Jacob. So did Ben exile him becuase he DID talk to Jacob, or a real threat? The current "fact" that they are assembling barriers for the smoke monster implies that they fully know what that thing can do, and noting that fLoche was on the island, we also know that he CAN go over there. So, now, he could have gone on his own, taken out all who are there, if that was the intended battle.

So is he teaming up with fLoche, or fighting him?

As for the side story- I still can't get what the parallels should be- sometimes they are pretty obvious, like Ben last week, this one, hard to see. Except that James looks out for James #1, others second. Not to take away the second, at all, since he is quite loyal to his close friends.

Claire... ok. WT..F is going on with her? Crazy or not? The attack was clearly crazy, the reaction later- probably. Can she be "taken back" from fLoche? Sayid- gone as gone can get.

Right now, Kate and Jin seem to be still figuring out what is going on, while James is trying to be a manipulating spectator so that he can get out.

BTW, watching last weeks show before hand... Some possible sides- fLoche seems to be representing self, and thinking of yourself to the point of manipulating anyone to do his bidding. Illiana- so far, they represent forgiveness over revenge.

I'm VERY, VERY much looking forward to the Richard episode (I wonder how the parallel can be twised- you'll recall that the island DID exist up to the 70's, so he's very much a possibility- but I kind of expect that the bomb ended that).

And still can't wait for the Jin-Sun reunion. IMHO, Jin can very much move to Illiana's side, and be given forgiveness for his past "sins".

good stuff, still.

(since we've seen Charollote, when can we see more Penny?!?!?!? :D and Daniel? I do expect a Whidmore show coming up- both old and parallel.
