LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

I still haven't decided on what Charolotte was doing- intentional or looking for a T. But her reaction to James when he came begging back after thowing her out may have been being a b**TCH, but I think it was quite appropriate.

Back on the island, I really can't tell what's the deal with Whidmore, yet. My wife and I talked about it some, too- Jacob seemed to know he was coming, and that lighthouse thing could have been a thin veil of a signal. But it's also equally possible that he was manipulating jack to take out the signal.

Whidmore is very anti-Ben, that we do know. ben exiled him for some reason AND we know Ben didn't actually ever talk to Jacob. So did Ben exile him becuase he DID talk to Jacob, or a real threat? The current "fact" that they are assembling barriers for the smoke monster implies that they fully know what that thing can do, and noting that fLoche was on the island, we also know that he CAN go over there. So, now, he could have gone on his own, taken out all who are there, if that was the intended battle.

So is he teaming up with fLoche, or fighting him?

As for the side story- I still can't get what the parallels should be- sometimes they are pretty obvious, like Ben last week, this one, hard to see. Except that James looks out for James #1, others second. Not to take away the second, at all, since he is quite loyal to his close friends.

Claire... ok. WT..F is going on with her? Crazy or not? The attack was clearly crazy, the reaction later- probably. Can she be "taken back" from fLoche? Sayid- gone as gone can get.

Right now, Kate and Jin seem to be still figuring out what is going on, while James is trying to be a manipulating spectator so that he can get out.

BTW, watching last weeks show before hand... Some possible sides- fLoche seems to be representing self, and thinking of yourself to the point of manipulating anyone to do his bidding. Illiana- so far, they represent forgiveness over revenge.

I'm VERY, VERY much looking forward to the Richard episode (I wonder how the parallel can be twised- you'll recall that the island DID exist up to the 70's, so he's very much a possibility- but I kind of expect that the bomb ended that).

And still can't wait for the Jin-Sun reunion. IMHO, Jin can very much move to Illiana's side, and be given forgiveness for his past "sins".

good stuff, still.

(since we've seen Charollote, when can we see more Penny?!?!?!? :D and Daniel? I do expect a Whidmore show coming up- both old and parallel.
L-O-C-K-E. He's not a lake in Scotland.

I'm thinking no given that the actress is on another show now.

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

I don't think she was doing it accidentally or innocently. I have a feeling she had a motive for that.

Yeah, it seemed pretty definite that she was looking for something.

Maybe Ben exiled Widmore because the 'Jacob' he was talking to(really ol Smokey hisself), told him to.

Someone mentioned a while ago that the two main camps seem to be divided between those who have killed, and those who haven't. I'm wondering if this might explain why the smoke monster didn't kill certain people it encountered(Eko, Locke) but did others. But then I can't think of who Locke might have killed.

The actor who plays Desmond had his name in the credits this week, but we didn't see him. Is his name always in the credits?

Did you see a t-shirt in the drawer? I didn't :p

Ben is sneaky but he admitted to never talking to Jacob despite wanting to, so I doubt he thought he was talking to Jacob but was really talking to Johnny Cash.

As for Penny making an appearance, I bet she makes at least one appearance yet because I have a feeling there will be a desmond episode.

Actually I think we have an episode focused on each of the following: Richard, Desmond, Jin/Sun, Hugo, Jack, Johnny Cash and Jacob

You know, that was weird. If I recall correctly, Sawyer told her to look in the top right drawer for t-shirts, and that was the drawer she opened, but there were no t-shirts in it. What's up with that?

Yes, he is being paid as a series regular this season. And you don't pay someone that kind of money to not work. We can expect to see a lot of Desmond starting very soon (not based on any spoilers, but simple economics).

Re: LOST Season 6 -- All Good Things Must Come To An End

So what caused Sawyer to tell Miles about his past?

I am guessing it was that touching seen he watched on Little House on the Prairie. I know it brought a tear to me eye.

Self preservation. Miles knew something was going on and had already started digging. Sawyer knew it was better to talk to him and tell him the whole story/build sympathy than to let Miles figure it out himself. Sawyer is always looking out for himself.

I haven't put much thought into this, so feel free to tear it apart. Any chance that the people that are "bad" on the island are good in the alternate reality, while the "good" ones on the island are bad in alternate reality? I just thought of it because Sawyer went from being a con man to being a cop.

And Kate went from killing her dad and trying to run from the law to....killing her dad and trying to run from the law! :p

Do we know why she was actually in custody in the alternate reality? I don't think they have said anything about that, have they?
