Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

Re: Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

It would have been bigblue_dl_blob
:D
The way Thurber was acting, I'm not sure the rest of the team would have had his back...and bb_dl is definitely bigger than Thurber...thats why I said I didn't know.

Looks like its a good thing Thurber decided not to pick a fight with Bigblue when we were in madison...not sure how it would have turned out but Im sure it wouldn't have been pretty:

Darn it. I was really looking forward to giving him a bunch of 5hit at the games this weekend. Oh well, just have to make fun of the other guys. :)

Re: Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

he was charged with multiple misdemeanors after officers responded to a 911 call alleging a domestic incident involving a woman Feb. 8.
So... tIG, it looks like he was looking for his gf, too.

I'm a little worried about this series, I didn't think Tech looked awful in the Saturday game in Madison for the first period, then Lickteig took that CFB penalty and it was pretty much over.

You should be a little worried because if Tech scores first, it will be a very different game than either in Madison, plus Tech is healthy and actually playing pretty good hockey right now if they can get Genoe to play like he can, they should get a win...

Yep, plus Geoffrion being out for the Badgers.

So when are the pansies hopping their jet up here?

I presume the Badgers have arrived or are arriving in the next couple of hours, since the SDC ice schedule shows they have practice time at 5:50 today.

Any other Badgers fans making the trip northward?

Is that the Big Ten jet? ;)

The elements are there for a couple of good games, the only thing that concerns me right now is the goaltending. Neither of them has been totally consistent yet (though Genoe has shown flashes of what he might be in another year), and Josh Robinson did alright coming into a bad situation in Denver last Saturday. That could've easily been a 7-1 win for the Pioneers, but he made some saves and we battled back. It will be interesting to see who gets the call on Friday.

"Should get a win" boy IDK about that one, with geoffrion out and our goaltending being shaky the last 2 weeks It wouldn't shock me if Tech got a win or a tie this weekend but when you are the 10th place team you never SHOULD get a win over anybody.

With a west coast 1 seed on the line for UW these next 3 weeks I wouldn't count on UW taking a night off. If MTU can slop UW's PP and keep the games low scoring they can steel a point or 2 but i wouldn't use the word SHOULD

I can and will say SHOULD because they SHOULD get a win this weekend if they score first.

I've always wondered which places we flew and which places we bussed. I know they bus to Minneapolis obviously. I would assume Anchorage, North Dakota, CC, and Denver are flights. Duluth, Tech, Mankato, St. Cloud, Minneapolis bus?

Wisconsin has more wins when they don't score first then Mich. tech has when they do score first?!?!?!?!?!?! Actually Wisconsin has more wins when they don't score first then Tech has all year??????

I guess I scratch my head a bit looking at your confidence with scoring first. Does Tech score and then stuff the net with bodies for the rest of the game so no one can score or what am I missing here?
