Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

Re: Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

Thats what makes Tech so dangerous though: they are playing for pride and have nothing left to lose.

Ding.

We're also playing as a team for the first time this year, most of our guys are healthy, and a win against UW would be great for morale going into the playoffs. That, and we have some decent recruits in the works, and Jamie wants to coach them until he decides to leave.

You can toss in the Senior Weekend factor too. All in all, I'm not really expecting any points in this series, but it wouldn't be the first time we've pulled off an upset with nothing to play for.

Any video for this weekend? I've heard of something called "Huskies Live"?

I have it, and personally I don't plan to renew next season. You could pick it up for one month at (I think) $12, and you'd be able to watch both games. You'd see a small, grainy, black & white video, with audio play-by-play spliced in from the local radio station. You can make out the flow of the game and there are a few replay angles that they'll run after goals are scored so you can generally see how the puck went in. Don't expect to be able to read the nameplate on the back of a player's sweater, or see much of the puck when not in replay mode.

Frankly, I'd spend the $12 on beer and use the free audio link that will no doubt be posted in the game thread.

I think there are better options out there for viewing my middle school football team on the internet.

Why is the quality so bad? It doesn't seem like it would be that hard.

Our school is cheap, I'm afraid. Especially when it comes to athletics.

or just go to Suomi for breakfast and avoid the agony of having to go to Laurium, MI ;)
Hey now. He could visit the site of the Midwest Bottom Feeder Regional!! :)

Or just go because it's awesome. Just make sure you have cash--they don't take cards/checks.
Same with Toni's, but they're Brent-friendly (they take checks).

Make sure to ask for Dragon Lady. You'll be assured great service.
Truth!

I get that, but they could actually make money on the deal if they set it up right. Every time a road team comes into town there is no television except for Minnesota.

You can't tell me that parents of players, home and away as well as road teams fans and home team fans from outside of the area wouldn't purchase it on a game by game basis if it was a decent feed.

You make an excellent point, and it isn't as if there aren't students that could run a TV feed. Now, help us convince our school. ;)

If Duluth, St. Cloud, and Mankato can run a TV production that is student run, I think you guys could run a decent video feed.

True, but the waitress bigblue, shirtless, the darkness, and I had over winter carnival wasnt too bad either

I just want to see someone walk in and say, "Excuse me, but I was told to ask for 'Dragon Lady.' They said she's the best." :D

Re: Locked In The Basement: Wisconsin at Michigan Tech, Feb. 26-27

FYI:

The Mine Shaft has a 9pm rule for underagers...no one under 21 allowed in restaurant after 9...Applebee's will probably be your best bet...

Ahhh ctf is the best! :p
Are there tv's in the bowling area though? If so, they'd be fine.

Really? I thought it was later than that.

They do have TV's in the bowling area, but then you add up the additional cost of having to buy bowling games on top of getting food, etc.

Thanks for the info. I guess it's Applebee's. At least they have drinks!

Do they have TV's at the B&B? I'm sure they don't give flying **** about age at that place! Either that or head out to Schmitt's. :D
