I am aware they exist and that it's possible the guy from the article didn't learn his lesson. I'm simply stating I didn't read anything in it that specifically made that sentiment crystal clear.

Unfortunately not surprising. In my family a pair of grandparents were orange man baby supporters (to the point they were almost kicked out at Thanksgiving for grandma wearing a pair of Trump slippers and couldn't understand why the family was so offended by it). They are just now realizing what this administration may mean for their trans grandson. They've begun donating to and joining trans causes, but I doubt their political allegiance has changed.
 
Ugh. I'm really sorry you had to go through that. These people are destroying families and they think it's everyone else's fault.

If that were my family, I'd have cut all contact.

Yes, saying that impeachment is not a viable remedy for disagreement with a judge's decision.

Trump's reaction: "Well, lots of people are saying that judges should be impeached, and Roberts didn't mention me by name, so I don't even think he was talking to me."
 
Anyone who hasn't seen the whole clip, I highly recommend it. Funny as hell, but also deadly serious as to the predicament we currently find ourselves in.

I find it laughable that Chuckles actually thinks the Republicans will work with him on anything, just cause of what he hears at the gym. Entirely too naive and gullible for the position he currently holds.

Also, I think I read it on Politico, Chuckles said he deserves to be leader cause he knows how to get Senators elected. Ummmmm, Chuckles, your title is Senate Minority Leader.

If you could get Senators elected, it wouldn't say that.

He didn’t use the whole sentence, he gets the right Senators elected.
 
My wife made a good point about Schumer's capitulation.
  • If the government stops, the EOP has final decision on who is essential.
  • If the stoppage lasts > 30 days, the EOP can furlough anybody they want, legally, by claiming cost control.
I hate it. It may have been the right move.
 
Yeah the Centrists tried that argument and it doesn't hold water. First off there is no way it would have lasted a month and second the government being open isn't preventing any of that anyways. Legality means little when the rule of law holds no sway. Who is going to stop them? Courts can only rule the DOJ has to enforce it and that ain't happening. Hell half the government is already closed and now they handed Trump more power and have zero leverage.

Again the union who represents the people who would be furloughed said to shut it down. In no universe would they say that if it wasn't the right move. He'll a break from the chaos alone would be worth it.

The only ones who think this was the right decision were the people paid to believe as such. The actual people who would feel the pain the most wanted the shutdown because capitulation folded the last chance at a winning hand for 18 months or so. Schumer isn't paying attention to what his voters want he is banking they will vote Blue no matter what. We won't unless clowns like him get primaried.

You don't give Nazis more power...you fight them to the death. You give an inch and they burn the village to the ground.
