LeBron: Discuss

Re: LeBron: Discuss

So the guy asks a legit question in a new thread and instead of either discussing it with him (or ignoring it if you dont care) you come in here with completely unoriginal jokes and **** on it. Talk about a ****** move...

LeBron is the best player in the world hands down. His ego is no different than Michael Jordan's.

OP- good news. One person cares.

He has dominated the nba since his rookie year. The king James stuff makes me dislike him. He might be the best player ever, if not certainly in the discussion

Re: LeBron: Discuss

I remember when he won the NBA title with the Heat the same year the Blackhawks won the Cup and someone posted a side by side picture with quotes from the MVPs. LeBron's was all "I" "I" "I" and - I think it was Jonathan Toews - was all "the team" "we" etc. Remember that? Yesterday a friend retweeted a picture of LeBron with the trophy and said he hadn't seen one photo of any other Cavs players holding it. It's all about him. That said, he's OK. Could be much worse.

No.

HOF career? No doubt. Not even a question. Top 5? No. Top 10? I might give a couple seconds' listen. Top 20? Maybe/probably.

I bet you wish you had this moment back.

Re: LeBron: Discuss

Oh my god, can this be our new nacho thread?

I had two types of nachos the other day. In one sitting and I paid for neither of them! It was great.

Re: LeBron: Discuss

MJ, Bird, Magic, Chamberlain, Kareem, Oscar Robertson....oh wait, that's 6 already.
Jerry west, Bill Russell. Lebron is bigger and stronger than all those guys(maybe not Wilt or Bill). The one thing lebron doesn't do as well is shoot outside.

Re: LeBron: Discuss

Bill Simmons had a great discussion about LeBron and the GOAT topic.

I didn't realize he had been to SIX STRAIGHT FINALS.

And sometimes, the best players never get there/win one (to cross sports, Jim Kelly and Dan Marino come to mind; and Ray Bourque only won one, after he was traded).

Re: LeBron: Discuss

Yeah, that's a terrible argument. Maybe if we were talking about someone like Favre who made it to one when comparing to Marino or something like that.

But LeBron elevated his teams and brought them to the finals. Six years running now. Six years in a row.

When in Miami, I think he may have had a little help. Just saying......
I'm not saying LeBron is average. Hell no. He's insta-HOFer, but to say he's the greatest? No, not even close. And the "ring" argument that many bring up, or even the "Finals" argument....it's a silly argument.

Marcel Dionne, Adam Oates, Dale Hawerchuk, Mats Sundin, Mike Gartner, Pierre Turgeon, Gilbert Perreault, and Dino Ciccerelli. All in the Top 50 on the NHL career points list. All but Turgeon are in the HHoF. All had zero Cup wins

LeBron is already Top 10. He'll be absolute Top 5 material with a 4th championship.
