Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Hmmm....Seem to be having problems connecting to the pre-game show.

And Paul VanWaggoner isn't active on the Live Laker Chat. Must be trying to resolve whatever technical difficulties they are having. Hope we at least get the game itself.

Pre-game sounding good on 99.5.

wheelhouse, you had me until that last part.

But you're picking it on the radio itself, not the Internet, right?

OK, I finally got a connection after several tries.

This just in..... Truth Squad = Francis Anzalone. What a shocker  .... the Truth is out There!

Tonight and one other game will be the only time the Pre-Game show is on 99.5 Yes FM. It will be the December 5th game at Bowling Green, as it will conflict with a Laker Basektball Game already in progress.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Good victory for the Lakers. Going 1-1 on the road is a decent start. A bit disappointing that BMW gave up a softie to ruin his shutout.

Yeah, it was disappointing to see Wilson lose the shutout with only a minute left.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

I agree, 1-1 is about the best that we could have expected. Playing a close game with UMD in a loss and an improved performance for the PP and in net are reasons for optimism. Canisus split with FSU this weekend 1-5 and 1-0. I think it will take a Laker sweep at home to truly convince me that this team has a chance to turn the corner this year

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Nice to see the Lakers beat Tech for the 1st time in over a decade. Eveb better to see the power-play produce again. If the PP is more consistant, we will win more games.

Anyone know why Inglis was scratched from Sunday's game?

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SAYING NEIL DIAMOND!!!!!!!!

It's OK truth you don't have to use all caps, we understand. The new announcers are doing great, the coverage is great and lets hope the team continues to play great. I understand you are upset and dismayed at all this news but as you know the truth is out there tba tba tba.

We are here for ya Mr. or Mrs. TBA!

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Okay Paul VanWaggoner (if you're reading this) PLEASE show a little more enthusiasm or emotion of some sort when the opponent scores. While listening to tonight's game, I failed to realize that Canisius had scored on at least 3 of their goals. We can definitely tell when the Lakers score as your enthusiasm is over-the-top ... and then there's always the foghorn to back it up (in case we missed your excitement!) ... but a little more recognition for the opponent's goals wouldn't be a bad thing. Thank you.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Good win by the Lakers tonight, 5-4 although the game really wasn't as close as the score. A lax 5 minute strech or so allowed Canisius to tie the game but IMO it was never in doubt. Monardo looked awesome putting up 4 points and McParland was impressive as well. Power never made any key mistakes but played an overall unspectacular game, the jury is still out on him. I hope they dress Trotman tommorow, although i doubt they will as Hobbins scored tonight so i don't see Jim sitting him.

They did say on the pregame show that the reason Trotman was not playing tonight because he has had the flu all week.

LOL. Yea, I noticed that, too. Announcing the score more frequently wouldn't hurt either. Most people do not listen to the radio for an entire game, start to finish.
