Well since no one else has the cahones to step up, here's how I would vote them if I had a vote.

This is not how I think the poll will come out like I used to predict every week. This is how I WOULD rank them if I had a vote.

1. St. Norbert
2. Norwich
3. Bowdoin
4. Hobart
5. Utica
6. Oswego
7. Eau Claire
8. Adrian
9. Babson
10. Amherst
11. Castleton
12. Neumann
13. Plattsburgh
14. Williams
15. Manhattanville

With Norwich having lost for the second consecutive weekend, I think I would put Hobart at #2 and Norwich at #3 with Bowdoin a very close #4...

Good point. I think on second review I'd probably do that as well. Hobart has beaten Neumann and Manhattanville and only loss is to Oswego in OT.

I think you guys have Bowdoin ranked too high. Didn't they just lose to Wesleyan? Take a glance at the schedule so far for them. Very soft. They've also escaped a few against poor teams.

Escapes still count as Ws. I've stated this in other threads before but they have played every team in the NESCAC (Colby x2) and are 8-1-1 in the conference, are people really that down on the NESCAC this year? OOC is weak but 13-1-1 is still 13-1-1.

Yes, I am that down on the NESCAC. A perplexing Plattsburgh team is 3-2 with wins against Middlebury, Wesleyn (who beat Bowdoin), and Williams with losses to Amherst and Middlebury. I consider Plattsburgh, at this point, to be average to slightly above average and yet they still have a winning record against the NESCAC. I consider the NESCAC, as I do SUNYAC (outside of Oswego) to be a one bid NCAA conference this year.

I have nothing against Oswego or Bowdoin...I just don't see many quality wins at all. Adrian gets punished for it as they should.
When you look at Oswego's log for the year, what have you really got? A win against Hobart. Losses to Plattsburgh, Utica (2X), what is the deal? Is it reputation, becuase there's nothing there to really sink your teeth in to. I Know how much talent is there, but it hasn't done a whole lot. At least Plattsburgh has 2 wins against ranked (Oswego, Williams) and only 2 losses (Norwich, Amherst).

Plattsburgh's 1-0 loss to then undefeated Norwich is a game that could've gone either way. They also beat Oswego (in Oswego) when they were #1. Perhaps Plattsburgh should play the Stonehill's, Franklin Pierce's and Colby's of the world to puff up the Win-Loss. There is talk of that.

Perhaps Plattsburgh could drop Norwich and add Canton to their schedule (while Oswego drops Utica & adds Canton)

I think Plattsburgh's a little better than "average to slightly above average" Wouldn't Buffalo State and Trinity fit that description better. Cards can beat anyone in the country on a given night (as well as lose to some "average" teams).

Let's also remember that all 5 of those games against the NESCAC were in Platty for what its worth. I agree with you that no team outside of Bowdoin in the NESCAC is in the running for a Pool C bid if they don't win the conf tourney, but I'm getting a little sick of hearing that Bowdoin hasn't beaten anyone. They are 2-0 against ranked teams and 3-0-1 against teams getting votes last week. This weekend (@Williams, @Midd) will be big. If they stumble this weekend, I'll eat crow. If they come out 15-1-1, I hope they get some credit.

I'd actually like to see Bowdoin take on a tougher OOC schedule but I wonder how difficult it is to do travel wise coming all the way from Brunswick. That must have something to do with the home and home series with USM and UNE rather than venturing to upstate NY to take on the Oswegos and Plattys.

I had Babson unranked to 9th. Look at their body of work. As Beaver Believer points out, they have some nice wins.

Start matching up with who each team has beaten and where they are ranked isn't too shabby.

They could get another nice W over Amherst tomorrow. I'd really like to watch that game. Anyone know if Babson videostreams?

I think it was you in a previous post who spoke of the parity this year in DIII. The most difficult decision come playoffs will be what game you want to see as a fan. I love it, and am looking forward to the end of the year mess

I hate parity. It's ruined pro sports. It's the "socialism of sports". Why don't we all play for a tie so nobody's feelings get hurt. At my daughter's game the other day, they reset the score on the score clock after EACH PERIOD !!!

I miss the days when the Cards could handle the low-end SUNYAC teams by football scores.

Yea I said that awhile ago,and still think so,it seems like there are no gimmies,wouldnt mind a football/no class score once in-a-awhile...could we reset the scoreboard once a game like a mulligin??

Tuesdays game is Babson v Williams and it is on Fast Hockey.
