January 14th Poll Speculations

They usually meet in the Primelink, so it's not a huge drop. The question is, which game is replacing it?

Otherwise, maybe Emery is getting soft now that he has three kids...

Canton. All SUNYAC teams will play Canton once next year and twice the following. Therefor Plattsburgh needs to get rid of two NC games. With Plattsburgh playing Norwich/Middlebury usually in the Primelink "most" years except when hosting Bob can add and drop and still keep them "on the schedule". He is a big belever in having as many different teams from different leagues on his schedule which is probably why he chose to play Norwich once and not drop Skidmore/Castleton/Williams.

Re: January 14th Poll Speculations

drop Franklin Pierce and Canton from the calculations. Naz and Hobart bring in the ECAC-W teams as OOWP, something Platty does not have, but that's probably offset by Salve. The MCHA is a meh.

By playing Williams and Amherst, Platty brings in the MIAC in OOWP and St. Thomas in OWP, which is not so much of a good thing this year but gets Norwich on the OOWP via Skidmore / Castleton and H2H in the OWP.

Query: Is canton dropped from the calculations? They are currently provisional members of DIII... I can't recall if Morrisville was counted or not during their provisional years?

Elmira and PSU didn't square off at the Cardinal Classic this year...so Platty will go the entire regular season without a single game vs the ecac-w. Any idea when was the last time that happened?

Re: January 14th Poll Speculations

I don't believe it has ever happened. We've been playing Elmira since the program started in 1975. It appears to be hurting us in the KRACH calculations too.

Elmira didnt play Plattsburgh last year either IIRC...they missed each other at the PrimeLink. However, I think I recall Utica being at the Cardinal Classic last year.

Re: January 14th Poll Speculations

It's too bad...first Elmira now Norwich...who's next? Middlebury?
When you have a 25 game limit, 18 conference games, and 2 tournaments, what can you expect?

So who are you going to pick up next year to replace Plattsburgh?

Let them play 2 or 3 or 4 more games, D1 plays how may?? I bet it comes down to $$$$$$

Re: January 14th Poll Speculations

Keep talking like that, mister, and you're not getting a pony, either.

All I'm saying is that the NCAA likely isn't expanding our limits anytime soon.
I want lots of ponies in a Ferrari Testosterone.
