It's Primelink Week

Re: It's Primelink Week

The Times Argus quoted Norwich Coach Mike McShane as saying Norwich's better players wern't scoring while Plattsburgh players like Eric Satim were. I am not sure why this was the case but it appeared Plattsburgh smaller ice surface took a while for Norwich to adjust too. Norwich didn't play in Plattsburgh last year so for most of the players this was there first game at Stafford. Outstanding game between two very good teams. Fans were friendly, country music was outstanding, and large crowd made for an exciting game. One of the best D3 hockey games I have seen in a while.

Wow! You need an account to read Times Argus articles. I guess that tracks!

I was just about to bring this up, while I'm not against country music at all and I do listen to quite a bit of it, playing Garth Brooks is no way to get the crowd or team excited during a stoppage in play.... if you wanna play country music during the intermission that's one thing, but not during the period...not unless it's really upbeat and something people can get into.

the other thing I wanted to mention, did anyone hear the one "rap" song they played later in the game??? I'm pretty sure someone made a big ooops on that one!!! I heard a few F Bombs dropped along with some sh*t's... Ole Brucey was immediately on his cell phone talking to someone... I'm gonnna guess someone got yelled at for that one!

Re: It's Primelink Week

"I'm On A Boat" was the rap song you were referring to.

Can someone please post what McShane was quoted for saying in the Times Argus. I'm not going to make an account to read one article.

That was an incredible game between Plattsburgh and Norwich. I am totally impressed with how both squads played. And (this may surprise several folks)...hats off to Leis for making some critical saves tonight; and to the Cards as a whole for really improving their game.

Oh and Rob, Plattsburgh is now 5-4.... they've been struggling enough this season so we gotta help out when we can.

Re: It's Primelink Week

In reference to tickets I got there on the early side and had my choice of seats just about anywhere in the arena. Ended up with a great seat with the plattsburgh fans area. For all the flack the ticket policy gets I thought the sale of tickets and ticket sellers were very efficient. New snack bar set up is also good.

The huge number of season ticket sales, many as a sign of support and the peace of mind of knowing a seat is there if they want it, nevertheless, results in a lot of empty but "sold" seats, and season ticketholders generally don't buy seats with poor lines of sight. Also, they seldom buy single tickets, this results in a significant number of single tickets as the season ticket holders carve out their seats. Getting a seat in reality isn't really a significant problem, but the nevertheless hanging cloud of a "maybe" ticket is. This is the 21st century, Plattsburgh needs to enter it, sometimes, it is worth spending a little money on cosmetics, I am certain we can at least "come close" to anything Norwich and Oswego for example can do. It is just the need for the AD and his staff to work a little at getting things done instead of working hard at hardly working (or creating that impression).

Re: It's Primelink Week

They must have a welcher-friendly ticket policy.

No Prez Plattsburgh requires cash or will accepts credit cards. I didn't get any of the free tickets given to the teams. Not many people of mentioned it but the crowd without students was very impressive.

It will not get past the Login Troll either way!!

It's amazing. I can read articles from the New York Times on line for free, but to read the Barre Times-Argus I have to pay? What's wrong with this picture? The T-A has been in free fall ever since they switched from an Afternoon paper to a morning paper. The only reason I ever bought a hard copy version of the paper was to read the afternoon news.

Oh so it was a normal Plattsburgh crowd?

They never get students to their games.
