If your best players hadn't gone pro, would your team beat BC?

Re: If your best players hadn't gone pro, would your team beat BC?

More personal attacks. Hmmm. And FYI... Our best player now is a Minnesotan. And you continue to ignore our 2002 championship squad. All-American ;)

Shocking that a non-Minnesotan won it for you, something I'm sure you've had to sweep under your psychological rug in order to maintain.

He scored one goal. Unless I'm mistaken, they needed more than one to win the game, and many more just to get to that point. And again, it was an all-American team. The fact that 26/27 players were Minnesotans (including the Hobey winner) was gravy :)

JDUBBS, you are the great unifier. Everyone here hates you and thinks you're an idiot. Why do you continue to subject yourself to this? Save yourself the repeated embarrassment and disappear.

I don't hate him. He provides wonderful entertainment.

Yikes! More personal attacks. Again, you might not like or agree with what I have to say, but I am being civil. Can't say the same for you. So, whose's really the problem here?

If you truly thought the Minnesota thing was that important, you would have supported the school by attending it as a student. Since you didn't, you don't, and that makes you a fraud. Now go retroactively abort yourself for the good of the country and the state.

I wonder if it's possible to make him red...

Nah, I don't think it can be done.

Once you realize that even his own fellow fans can't stand him, it makes him somehow easier to take. At least it did for me.

An unfortunate, unintended consequence of that though is that all of the other Gopher fans seem more tolerable, even somewhat likable in comparison.

LOL! Talk about a gigantic reach. I didn't attend the U because They didn't have my major. I attended another B10 school that did. And I have done more than my share to support the team. I'm a 3rd generation season ticket holder. So, nice try. This is the last time I acknowledge such a ridiculous statement.

I'm just surprised to learn he actually left Minnesota at any point in his life.

Perhaps what's saddest about JDUBBS xenophobic stance is that it completely ignores the makeup of the University of Minnesota itself. Of the 52,000 or so enrolled at the U of M, about 21,000 are foreigners or students from other states. These 21,000 people, actually paying for tuition at the University, are they to follow this belief that only those Minnesota hockey teams that meet JDUBBS purity standards are worthy of envy and praise?

I'm not opposed to foreigners attending the University of Minnesota. But yes, if they do attend, they should respect the history and tradition.

I will say, I can see how it would be easy for fans of programs with little history or tradition to have trouble understanding why it is so important.
