Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

I have no opinion, but that line reminds of this nugget from the great Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

"There's only two kinds of music I don't like... Country and Western."

Bobby also said once while looking out at a wrestling crowd: "The trouble with these people is they can breed and they can vote."

I'm definitely sorry to hear about Donald Sobol. I loved those books as a lad.

Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

Just a reminder to everyone, the USCHO Death Pool is coming around again. The end of the last season is the last day of August, and the next day the next season will start. If you want to participate, start putting lists together, and about mid-August we will start having people send them in so we can get an on-time start at the beginning of September.

Remember, pick 30 names of celebrities that you think will die in the next year. The qualification of whether someone is a celebrity is pretty broad, but if you push the limits, someone can challenge a pick and it goes to a vote as to whether that pick will be allowed. This still hasn't ever happened. Basically, if they're a public figure: TV, movies, radio, reporter, author, athlete, coach, politician, famous judge/lawyer, noteworthy CEO, in-the-news type person (i.e. Casey Anthony), head of a public organization, etc. they're eligible. You get points for each correct pick, points are awarded depending on age. You get 90-(person's age) for each correct pick, plus a 50 point bonus if you are the only contestant to pick that person.

We have a separate thread for this, which I'll dig up soon, but I just wanted to get the word out for the time being.

Chad Everett

He was hilarious in the last thing I saw him in, an episode of Supernatural. He plays an aged Dean, who has lost in a poker game where the stakes are years of your life.

There's a later scene where they're climbing stairs, but I can't find a clip of it on Youtube.

He also "co-starred" in that late night Cinemax "classic" drama - Chemistry along with Sally Kellerman
