Well BC played like dogsh*t (outside of Milner) and still won.

Gaudreau's line was the only effective line out there.

That no call on Gaudreau was ******** criminal if it wasn't a 1 goal game w 2 min to go it Hansen's arm would have shot straight up.

7 more wins.

Well, we were on them like stink on poo before the power outage. How embarrassing is that? At what point is someone held accountable for this crap that continually goes wrong at Conte?

After the power outage, yup, UMass kicked our arse. They completely dominated the 2nd period and we score two in the last two minutes. :) I'll take it. ;)

Thank you Parker Milner! Keep up the good work.

BCeagle... we knocked UMass out of TUC status last night (and Yale came in). We had a nice jump in PWR. Now to keep UMass below the TUC line with a win tonight.

There was a power outage and several parts of Newton were out of power for a period of time.

For some reason, UMass is top heavy in sophmores, I counted 13 on their roster. They look fine for next year or two if they add more quality players.

Well what do you prefer? Play well and lose or play badly and win? Hopefully, they get it out of their system and start playing well and win. They need to take care of business one way or the other and get to the TD Garden. I'm sure UMass fans are just as fustrated or more. Again, they need to take the lead first and add on to the lead.

The only thing they need (as BCWH Joe pointed out) is a BC patch on the shoulders

Edit: It was pointed out on the season thread & EA but the puck was bouncing absolutely everywhere last night. Ice looked good but the puck wouldn't settle.

It'll be interesting to see how it is tonight given it's the 2nd game of the day.

My guess is that we saw the home whites for the last time last night.
Goldies are undefeated and we wore them last Saturday vs. PC.
Maybe Jerry will keep alternating them White-Friday/Gold-Saturday from here on out.
I'd go Gold the rest of the way.

Anyway congrats to UMass, toughest pair of games we've had in a month.

It's great that we don't have to go tomorrow. Dumoulin went back to the lockerroom for most of the 1st, I have to assume it's been his balky knee.

Gaudreau is ******** filthy. That shift at the end of the 3rd ate literally a min+ singlehandedly.

On to the Garden

It's nice BC doesn't have to play tomorrow and give Dumoulin's knee a rest. Coincidence I wore his number tonight and he scored the winning goal in front of me. That was the good thing about the less than full attendance, you can sit anywhere you want. On to the TD Garden and time to buy tickets to the semis.

Three years ago (the first time in this recent string that UMass has been swept out of the QF at Conte), the Minutemen had three players leave for the pros on top of the seniors graduating, which is why the Sophomore class is larger than one would expect.

Last season was a ton of freshman with a solid senior goaltender. 8th place and swept.

This year a ton of sophomores with two freshmen goaltenders. 8th place and swept.

Next year, a ton of juniors and two sophomore goaltenders. If they don't compete for home ice/make the garden, Toot should be let go.

But anyway, like everyone thought would happen, UMass lost in two games to BC. Congratulations on the victory and good luck at the Garden and in the NCAA's.

Not that the Eagles need luck or anything. :p

EDIT- Also, for the second or third time, I didn't have to buy a ticket tonight. I was waiting in line and a guy came up and gave me his extra. I was in UMass gear both times and yet people still give me tickets. The gentleman handed me the ticket, waited for me to use it, then approached me and said "That will be $5." A bargain, but unfortunately I didn't have any cash on me. I offered to use my credit card to buy him something at the concession stands to make up for it but he didn't want anything. I felt kind of bad, but had he told me he wanted $5, I would have kindly turned him down explaining the lack of cash thing. If that person is here, thanks! I feel bad for stiffing you.

UMass needs a goaltender that can save over 91% of the shots he faces. I don't see Boyle or Mastalerz being the answers. Pereira and Sheary are good players, but I don't see much else...Sorry, Toot only has a year left on his contract. He will retire after next year, maybe even this summer.

Don't feel bad, he sounds like kind of an @55#0|3 to be honest. I would have told him to pound sand.

We'll take all the luck we can get!

There's not that much difference between teams in HE with parity, maybe with the exception of Vermont but even they almost beat BU late in the season. BC was fortunate to take 2 as the games could have easily gone the other way with luck.

UMass should be in the top-4 in HE next year. BC will be losing players like Carey, Cross, Almeida, Kreider, and Dumoulin so UMass will have their window of opportunity and even BU could lose more players beside the ones lost already and to graduation.

Wow... I really nailed it with the jersey color. ;) White it was and we may never see the Goldies again. :D

Way to go Eagles! That was a tough UMass team and we gutted out two wins.
Parker Milner is on top of his game. Outstanding!
