Hockey East Quarterfinals: #6 UNH @ #3 BU

Re: Hockey East Quarterfinals: #6 UNH @ #3 BU

"UNH Defeats BU in Double Overtime: Hard Work Finally Pays Off"

Congrats...UNH deserved to win - they played like they were possessed. Relentless pressure. If not for Millan, they could have had 10 goals...

Proud of those Cats! Look forward to actually being able to watch the game today - would be a great way for Umile to get 500 and send the team to the Garden.

Didn't even notice that. He'd probably get way more hits if he made his story headlines in the post a direct link to the story. :)

Re: Hockey East Quarterfinals: #6 UNH @ #3 BU

Although my Cats lost I had a great time at Agannis last night. Lots of rowdy UNH fans in our section, and the BU fans were great. I talked about the old Snively days with Dan Muse who played in the early 80's as well. Lets go Cats!

Good to hear. It's just unfortunate that these series are played during spring break every year. The atmosphere at Agganis has been dead enough as it is this year. Hopefully many of the students will be back from break a little early and get to the game. This is the trouble with an urban school...you don't get the support from the "community" because it's not the "only game in town." If this were Madison, WI or Grand Forks, ND (or even Durham, NH) the place would be packed - students or not. It is what it is, but it certainly doesn't help the Terriers - and they need the support right now...

Actually now the students are just 3 days into break. Spring break started this weekend so I'd expect tonight to have even fewer students than Friday.

Oh....yuck. Well, "adults," it's up to you to generate some enthusiasm and NOISE. Look at that picture that C-H-C has on his blog at the beginning of the OT - you can COUNT the number of people in the stands...it's pathetic.

I don't disagree with your premise, but 30 bucks a head for a series that will go three games if history is any guide doesnt help either...

Its the same way in Durham when the students are on break, especially when the Cats host a quarterfinal round. Im curious if the UNH fans were loud last night or if it just seemed that way because I was sitting in the section.

You guys are pretty loud when your team scores. Hopefully I don't hear you today :-)

BU within 1, after being down 4-1. Score is now 4-3 with 2nd period ending.
