Hockey East 2020-2021

This is the entire reason the PWR is so much better during regular times!

We can also say that BU beat up on the minnows of the conference with two wins over Maine and Vermont with split against Merrimack. That is half their wins this season.

You conveniently leave out that the other half of BU's win are against the top half of the league - they're 5-2 against teams 1-5 and 5-2-1 against teams 6-11.

So basically, your argument is trash.

Notre Dame... we have a better record than notre Dame and they didn't have to sit out 3 weeks without practicing because of covid

They interviewed the committee head. He said SOS and I think conference strength were considerations. I call BS. They love sending the Irish to the NE regional. They’ll probably win it.

It's funny because the last team in the tournament has managed to do very well over the years. Providence, Yale, UMD. In a one game deal, most of these games are toss ups anyway. Never easy to go up against Jeff Jackson.

SOS does help ND, as much as I hate to say it. They played 12 games against other Tournament teams (4-7-1).

At the end of the day, none of the three HE teams that were hoping to sneak in ... did enough. And that includes my alma mater.

Mike Kemp told CHN they evaluated how those bubble teams did against teams in the field. I think that's a good way to do it in this crazy season. Hockey East teams have no complaints, especially the bubble master himself, Nate Leaman. Maybe if one of the regionals was in Providence they would have been picked...

Going into this I thought St. Cloud was better than Wisconsin. I think UMass has a slightly better path to FF than BC but could be an all western affair this year.

LOL!

Asterisk Nate fell asleep....should have had Providence step in for Manchester instead of Albany

Associate AD at Omaha Mike Kemp ;-)

Yep. I said all along that despite Denver's losing record if you are taking a 4th from the NCHC it should have been Denver over Omaha.

American born players who play in New England in the Hobey Top 10:

Keith Petruzzelli
Matt Boldy
Spencer Knight
David Farrance
Odeen Tufto

And your winner of the 2021 Walter Brown award from the above players is...

Bobby Trivigno

Yea, this was a surprising one. Did they tally the votes in Georgia after a pipe burst?

Hilarious if not so sad/true ...

No kidding. Brian Kemp clearly had it out to help the Democrats, so I guess in this scenario, the BC Athletic Director was counting the votes and screwed his guys Boldy and Knight by picking Trivigno?

Must say, I missed the HE finals being at the Gahden, with all the run up that goes with it. Sort of like the Beanpot, its an event. Can't wait for next year.

As for only having 3 teams. To quote a wise sage: "just worry about winning your games."

Unusual as they tend not to look past BC (24) or the other Boston (30) schools. But the times may be changing, as 9 of the 18 winners from non-Boston schools have come since 2000.
