That's not what he said!

Red Cloud, I can take it. Don't worry about me. I'll just take a step back now and watch you/jcarter from afar.

Re: Hockey East 2011 - 2012 :

Ralph, do you think RPI would decline an invite to Hockey East again (assuming it were extended?)
I thought I read a Mike McMahon tweet that siad Hockey East will not invite a 12th team, but will carefully consider all applications. If true that means RPI will have to make the first move if they want to really join Hockey East. As for Quinnipiac, they have shown a strong commitment to both men's and women's ice hockey and I think that is what the league is looking for. If RPI declines to apply or accept an invitation then QU is a strong candidate to be the twelfth member.

Here is the updated comparison of the breakdown of 2010-11 players based on the future leagues with ND to HE and BGSU to the WCHA:
Code:
Season HE Avg ECAC Avg WCHA Avg NCHC Avg B1G Avg CHA AHA Ind D-III Total
2010-11 71 6.45 45 3.75 29 3.22 61 7.63 83 13.83 0 2 0 1 294

Hockey Eastofthemississippi Association should look to add either Chicago or Kentucky as ND's travel partner. Both are places I wouldn't mind visiting during the season.

An article that I wrote about Hockey East and the NHL in the recent past (last 5 years). I'm looking forward to this weekend where I can actually right about what happens on the ice!

you right good. haha

anyway...
so does this whole Notre Dame thing mean that the WCHA will add Alb-hunstsville to go to 10 teams after bowling green decided to go to WCHA? any thougths?

I don't think anyone wants UAH.

Unfortunatley for them, I think you are right. However, if they are to end up in a confrence, my guess would be that if Hockey East pulls RPI in (or QU) then ECAC will grab an Atlantic Hockey team... and UAH will end up taking that empty slot in Atlantic Hockey.... who knows for sure, but that would seem to be their best chance at ending up in a conference.

Re: Hockey East 2011 - 2012 :

In the end I don't think it will make a large change for Hockey East fans. It will stink not to see everyteam every year, but Hockey East will survive. Although I did not want Notre Dame in HE there is nothing we can do. As a Merrimack fan I think I RPI would be a great fit and cannot wait to make the trip out to their barn. Also with Notre Dame I am excited to make a weekend out of South Bend and go to Chicago. Like many of you said the ratings are too low to make that big of a difference

Why won't we see every team every season? The conference schedule will be 22 games - each team would face a HEA opponent once home and once away.

Not see every team every year? I thought the (rough) plan was a home and home against every team?
