the gap was so big from the #1 team to everyone else that they didnt have to bring it every night, even in those last half dozen games .......50% and some good fortune got the job done

Not that it made it any easier for us! I was so depressed sitting in the balcony at the Verizon Center with 3:00 minutes to go against Miami that I wasn't even nervous anymore. Even when we scored the second goal I thought "there's no way we come back to tie this." People must have looked at my wife and I just sitting there in our BU jerseys with our heads down and thought, "Man, are these people MISERABLE!" And you're right about the good fortune...we could have easily lost to UNH in Manchester (and I know they still believe they outplayed us) and we weren't much better at the FF against Vermont. And enough said about the game-winning goal. It just got to the point where they figured they only had to play "well enough to win." Of course, they were right, but it wasn't an impressive run.

BC is the premier hockey school in the Country, we've won 5 of the last 6 HE Tourneys, 3 of the last 5 NCAA tourney's, the last 4 Beanpots and are currently looking at a #1 seeding in the NCAA's. BU on the other hand hasn't won anything in years, is on the outside looking in for this years NCAA's and the only news the team HAS made recently is the local Police blotter.

All history Chris the Eagles are heading in the other direction. Half the teams in HE had a better freshman class than BC this year and with York in doubt BC is headed back to mediocrity.

The last five years? How about the last 15. Michigan hasn't won a National title since 1998, so I would hardly call them the premier team in the Country. It's BC by a mile, sorry!

Yeah and if you go back 30 years with BU, excluding 2009 of course, they have zero championships. You can spin it any way you want but anyone with the intelligence of a potato knows that BC has been far and away the top program in the nation for years and years.

Yeah, come to think of it, I wish I were a BU alum, you know, the team with more felony arrests in the past year than FF appearances in the last 15.
