Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Hekuva game last night by the Crimson. You guys were smokin'. Not hard to see why you're ranked up near the top. Frankly I don't know how the Big Red beat you Friday night? Vesey is slick for sure. For our sake wouldn't mind seeing him move on to Nashville before next season. :)

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Teddy Hart (Exeter) has de-committed ft tom Providence and is considering Harvard and Dartmouth. He is Brian Hart's younger brother.

Anyone seen him play?

I haven't but I'll try and find someone who has and can give us some insight. Is he a forward or D?

Beating Cornell up in Lynah is never easy and we played with a short bench due to injury during the game. Once we get healthy, we should be a serious threat for the ECAC tournament title and from there, who knows...? Right now, we're just savoring every moment.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Forward. He's a '96 so don't know if he would need a year of JRs or matriculate next season.

He might want to wait a year if he wants top six playing time. Then again, playing with his brother may outweigh that desire.

I saw posted on the Beanpot thread that Harvard has some injuries. Are any of them expected back for the opener vs. BU? Is it Alex Kerfoot? Sean Malone? Patrick McNally? Best of luck vs. the Terriers.

Harvard is missing several guys in order of importance: McNally, kerfoot, Malone, Esposito, jaw.

Kerfoot could be back. Unsure about Malone, jaw, and Esposito. McNally is likely out.

Harvard plays Union on Friday so be interesting if any of these guys go.

Thank you for the info.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Per twitter: McNally out for season with torn ACL and MCL.

This is a killer any way you look at it. McNally was a key performer on the PP as well as our best D-man head manning the puck. It won't be easy but as Teddy said in a recent article "Next man up".

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Just wanted to share the hit on our Captain that got Jake Wood (RPI) his 2 game suspension ....

Clearly a hit after the whistle, unnecessary and a cheap shot in my opinion. Two games is light; should have gotten a minimum of four. You don't hit someone from behind especially when you drive them into something like a goalpost. Thankfully they don't use metal studs anymore or that could have been very serious for the Union player. Hope he is okay.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Hope he is okay.
My understanding is that Charlie Vasaturo required some sutures to close the laceration to his ear, but is expected to play in tonight's game vs. the Crimson at Bright. He has my admiration and I wish his team and him a great contest. May the checks be clean and the shots true. Of course I am hoping for a win!

That poor kid got nailed. Glad he is OK. Amazing he did not get a concussion out of head contact that hard.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

No one back for tonight's game. Thomas Aiken getting his first start on D (I believe).

Going to have to gut out another one.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

did the school send it's ticket allotment for the Beanpot over to BC again this year so we can use 'em?
