Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

By the numbers ......
Slightly less than a mile, direct line between rinks, 66 N.Harvard in Allston and Agganis Arena.

BU - rated/ranked #3 - Maybe higher by tomorrow.
Harvard - not ranked

USCHO National Statistics DI

Team Offense
BU #3
Harvard #6

Team Defense
Harvard #3
BU #7

Special Teams - Harvard has an advantage here

PP
Harvard #3 28.0%
BU #25 18.75%

PK
Harvard #1 96.8% (30-31)
BU #14 88.9% (40-45)

Goalies
Steve Michalek, Sr, Harvard 8 .951
Matt O'Connor, Jr, Boston University 8 .943

Last 4 won by Harvard

This is going to come down to Harvard-BU "bragging rights" since both schools are practically "smack dab" next to each other on either side of the Charles River. A #1 USCHO ranking for BU is going to be a mighty big target for H.

Anyone going to the BU game on Tues? Shame that NESN is showing UMass when this is such a better game.

I'm planning on going to the Lowell game on Saturday and can't wait.

I'm hoping to attend. Have a late afternoon appointment on the South Shore and with Thanksgiving traffic, not sure if I can make it but I'm going to try. Better question: will there be any tickets?

I'm also looking forward to it. It should be a good game.

Just a reminder that the game is at 7:00 pm. There will also be some road closures in downtown Lowell on Saturday for the City of Lights celebration. Detour information.

The hockey game, originally scheduled for 4 p.m., has been moved to 7 p.m. to enable fans to take advantage of the City of Lights activities in downtown Lowell – including a hot chocolate competition, parade, family events and the lighting of City Hall. The parade route will result in Arcand Drive being closed in advance of the game.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

I would have thought that you'd want to leave the 2013-2014 season behind, yet here it remains. :eek:Start a new thread! :D

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Harvard ranked #18. Like that ranking. Want them under the radar and we know rankings are irrelevant this time of year.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Good luck tomorrow Harvard. The entire ECAC is pulling for you !!!

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Hi all,
First time posting on here. I'm pretty sure I'm going to grab some tickets and head to the BU game tomorrow. One thought about Harvard improving, can Sherman stop going so far out of position to hit people? I like having a big force in front, but he sees the opportunity to check someone and goes after it kinda recklessly

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Newell and O'Regan will make their debuts tonight. Looks like Blackwell won't play. Hopefully precautionary and not a concussion-related set back.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

Can't remember a bigger win in at least the last decade.

BU is likely somewhat over-rated given some of the hype that comes with Eichel, but a great win on the road against the #1 team in the nation!

Harvard is not going to be flying under the radar any longer.

Great Win Crimson !!!! Showed character and class and leadership and talent against a great third period BU team. ECAC is 12-5-2 vs HE and league has second best OC record.
