Re: Harvard Crimson 2013-2014

There's no sport-by-sport AI restriction. Just that the average AI of ALL athletes has to be within 1 standard deviation of the overall student body average. So a school could certainly decide to let in a handful of dumb-as-rocks basketball players and then recruit a bunch of geniuses who can just baaaaaarely play squash to balance them out. I'm not saying that's what Harvard is doing, but boy do they get some good basketball players.Wondering out loud. Does Tommy Amaker have to abide by the same AI restrictions? Could it be that admissions is looking the other way on some of his admits to help the program? Again, no data or inside info here. I'm speculating much the same as Bothman. I don't want Harvard to ever go down the HE sinkhole for admissions but I don't want to believe they are coming down hard on the hockey program either.
