Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

Re: Guns For Everyone!: Another Mass Shooting!

There's nothing wrong with any of that. Now, if you'd thrown in a half-dozen AR-15esque rifles "for fun/collecting/popping pumpkins with the boys", I'd be keeping my distance from you.

An AR-15 frame can be .223 caliber (NATO 5.56 mm) or .308 caliber (NATO 7.62 mm).

The .308 is a decent deer hunting weapon.
The .223 is good for varmint control (but too light for deer hunting).

And a grenade makes a nice paper weight.

I have never understood this argument.

A .30-06 deer rifle is semi-automatic at best*.
An AR-15 (.223 or .308) is semi-automatic at best*.

Please don't let "scary looking" (i.e. the AR) be a criteria.
In that case we would need to ban Dodge Chargers because they are aggressive looking vehicles. (Everyone gets a happy looking Neon.)

*Unless illegally modified to full automatic.

And I never understand why people bring explosive ordinance item examples into firearms discussions.

"Things engineered for devastating violence which can also be used as snuggly pets."

Also: there is no "i" in ordnance. But I didn't know that until it looked weird just now.

Perhaps for the same reason people bring sharp blade items or vehicles into firearms discussions.

Because if you don't believe there are limits to the 2nd amendment, then all arms should be freely available. Otherwise, we're just talking degrees and everything should be on the table.

This isn’t directed solely at you, but this argument is one of the most non-sensical the anti-gun brigade has come up with. There are no gun owners who I know who are trying to argue the second amendment allows explosives. It’s two completely different classes of items.

If you own guns and live in the country you're a sportsman.

If you own guns and live in the city you're a psychopath.

I shoot trap. I have a shotgun, but don’t keep shells in the house. I live in the city. Anyone know a good therapist

Take it up with Justice Scalia's ghost then.
