Here in Maine we're getting a torrential downpour and 40mph winds. The river is totally ice-free :) and the snow is all gone :(

And of course I fly over night from Thursday to Friday, the worst days of it, though Newark to Ithaca, both of which may be smack dab in the middle.

To paraphrase some show I heard once "this is the worst kind of inconvenience, the kind that happens to me!".

I've just realized we're basically swapped places in life. Virginia>Cornell>Bay Area and Bay Area>Cornell>Virginia. We may have been separated at birth.

Fairly windy, snow continuing to fall. It's sticking on grassy areas, slushy on sidewalks and pavement. I would be surprised if there weren't significant delays at airports in the area.

My general impression is that flying tonight, which is really tomorrow morning east coast time when I get there, it should be a little better than this afternoon and evening. Here's hoping.

had a fifty foot pine come down in my yard tonight and is resting on my workshop behind the garage... back yard has horrible drainage and is essentially a pond, and water in the basement... good times... got some landscaping to do this spring...

Got a foot of snow already on Long Island with an additional 6 inches predicted through tomorrow morning. This after 2 inches of rain yesterday. NYC had 18 inches this morning.

just rain here in central mass since the snow changed over wednesday. the 10 inches that fell tuesday night/wed morning is all gone. :p

whoops!

looked out the window before hitting 'submit' and the ground is white (but no snow is falling ;) )
