Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

A friday night win holy hell.

It was ugly though, they didn't look that great. Patterson got us these two points.

Patterson is the reason why the Gophers have been winning. I don't even know how many times the d-men were bunched together and Patterson had to bail them out. He does stand on his head.

Glad to see Lee back. Good job after being gone for a few months. That 3rd period...we need to control the puck. I almost...almost threw my tv out the window. It also didn't help with Johnson going down.

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

Nate Condon and his shorties! Almost had another one tonight.

Hope Johnson is ok, any word on his injury?

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

Reports are he was in a cast after the game, and it doesn't look good. Open tryouts at the NHC for forwards tomorrow morning?

Patterson is the reason why the Gophers have been winning.
It's not that simple.

For example, Jan had 0 shots in the 3rd period until they got that comical hooking call that put them on the powerplay with about 4 minutes left (Alt never hooked the guy and was shoulder-to-shoulder with him in the slot).

While MN has a few terrible defensive breakdowns each game, they generally do a decent job of limiting shots and chances.

Helmet kids! Get it right! :p

Meh, I'm old school. SCSU will always be JBSU or SCCC to me. :p

Good to get a Friday win for once; now perhaps MN can put an end to this seemingly endless .500 streak they're on and solidify their pairwise position on the right side of the bubble abortion.

It's SCTCC now. :)

I thought we looked good. Yeah, we only had like 14 SOG, but we were two bad bounces away from winning. Prochno and Johnson cost us the game...regardless of what Skeeterman thinks.

And I heard 4 "Husky Women" chants along with 3 "Gopher Reject" chants. Pretty confident there were way less than 7 "Let's Go Gophers" chants. And no "Junior College" chants? They really dropped the ball with the same stuff I've heard for the last 15 years.

It must be fun chanting the same thing at every hockey game. And I don't even understand the husky women chant. Are they saying the women that go to scsu are overweight?

I thought we looked good.

Yeah, the Huskies looked good...for the first ~12 minutes. Then the Gophers took over and Lee looked good, the rest of the Huskies, not so much. ONE ****ing SOG in the third???? Yeah, that's good. How do you think Bob liked that stat?

We need to work more in those fancy backward blind passes. I think we all know that Faragher would have stopped those goals, but it certainly wasn't goaltending that lost that game.

Based on his analysis, I'm guessing DL was more focused on the crowd than on the game.

If I was a Jan fan, I don't think I'd want to focus much on the game either given what the team looked like in the final two periods.

This is Brenthoven, chiming in.

Thank Parise we beat the Helmet Kids. Who knows what my bar tab would've looked like last night otherwise. Of course, drinking Bushmill's 10 and Tullamore Dew 12 doesn't help, even in Daloot! ;)

Now, let's finish the job tonight!

Re: Gophers-Huskies Home and Home Jan 27-28

The short handed Huskies find a way to get it done tonight. Win 4-3

What are we throwing at Lucia tonight?? ;)
